I personally dont care if its strangers. however, i have extended family that is polish, n often we'll be talking english, n then they just start talking polish n i'm cut right out the conversation except for maybe the 20 words they might say that i can understand.. which is gay as hell i hate that shit. Kurwa.

/kanyeshrug i get more heated when people are speaking a foreign language on there cell phone super loud in public places, being from so cal i learned the words i needed to know in highschool from my spanish friends that way if people is talking shit on black people or me i know what the fuck is being said

lol @ the people in this topic. I've never heard someone say it was rude for people to hold their own conversation in another language. People say it's rude when (A) you're talking to one of the people and their response is to say something to someone else that is clearly about you based on the reactions of that other person or (B) when the people holding the conversation are both looking and pointing at you while they talk in the other language.

Quit being silly, it's not just narcissm. Anybody with a brain and senses can tell when someone is clearly talking about them whether they understand the language or not. Hell, it's not even like most people who that even try to hide that they are doing it. They make it obvious knowing that the other person can't understand what they are saying. And it's rude for the same reasons that talking behinds someone's back is rude. If you got something to say about someone, you should say it to them or at least in a way which they can respond if need be. Otherwise you're just being a bitch and/or gossiper.
