Did niggas even listen to Seen It All? I just listened to Future's last two projects, Monster and Beast Mode, and there's just no way you typed that with a straight face. Jeezy doesn't even have a "bad" album -- he just has albums that are better than others. What albums Future got? Not a nann nudda.

I can't believe we're even discussing an "entertainer" who can't even perform most of his catalog live, because it'll sound like shit, versus a legit rapper. This nigga needs effects on his tracks just to be worthy of y'all praise. Have any of you stopped to think about that?

And @GunTown you shut your 7-11, Big Gulp servin ass up.

I'm a huge fan of future I been one since like 2010-2011 back when his mixtapes were running atl

I've been to Birthday Bash the past 4 years in a row mainly because of future. I think he makes great music and he's also one of the most creative artists out right now

And on top of that future is a part of his own production team. He adds stuff to the beats that are made for him

He also has a mixtape with Gucci called Freebricks and iirc future did a lot of production work on it

If you don't like him great but all this music elitist stuff is petty. Especially since the majority of y'all don't even know how to play an instrument much less make a popular song

How you gonna call people musical elitist then discount opinions based on people not being able to play instruments themselves? That's the definition of an elitist. That don't got shit to with judging the quality of music.

That was to show the hypocrisy of you guys

White people thought jazz was trash until they learned the music theory behind it, now it's literally the best artform to come from the country according to them

All I'm saying is don't pop off especially when you don't known what you're talking about.

His music is melodic. People vibe with melodic music. Why is that so confusing to some of you guys

Knowing how to do something doesn't mean you're gonna enjoy it more though. It just means you know how it was put together. Yes Future's music is melodic that don't mean it's gonna sound good to everybody and everybody don't wanna hear no mumble mouthed raps about drowning your sorrow's over your baby momma leaving you into a cup of lean and xanax. Shit just ain't appealing to everyone...and no it aint because I want to ride about bumping super lyrical shit all the time because I personally consider Pimp C one of the best rappers ever but I know the nigga ain't the "best" on the technical side.

Like I said before if y'all don't like Future great. Wonderful. Why are you trying to get other people to join in your dislike? You should be confident enough to stand by your own opinions without needing to recruit. That goes for everybody on this thread

I don't feel the need to recruit. I just think Its dumb to get as defensive as you did because people don't like the same artist you do. You should be confident enough to not resort to saying someone doesn't understand music simply because they don't like Future's

Nigga what? Go re-read the first page then think about what you just posted. Plenty of people giving cordial answers as to why they like Future and yall are like "no you're wrong for liking him for this reason"

And most of ya'll don't understand what it takes to consistently make hit songs yet y'all still talk shit

Find 1 post where I said somebody is wrong for liking Future. I never even came close to that. I actually do like a handful of his songs but 98% of what I've heard from him is trash to me. There's no agenda...I just don't like his shit. Difference is it doesn't bother that people do enjoy his music like it seems to bother you people don't like it to the point you're questioning people's entire knowledge of music simply because they don't wanna hear Futures 100th dedication song to syrup.

Ok then I apologize. You yourself just admitted to liking Future though, so why are you going so hard against him in this thread?

This is exactly what I meant in my previous post. You niggas are just fans that don't know how to express yourselves. Look up the songs that you like and try to understand them deeper than the superficial surface level. When you do that I guarantee that you'll start fucking with more of his music

Future currently makes better music than jeezy. 2004- 09 is over. Same for TI. I remember them at their best but it's over...

Seen It All > any Future project I've heard

And I like Future

Future's been the leader of this autotune sing-rap trap movement. T-Pain put niggas on to the voice but Future perfected the style of marrying that voice to hard trap beats and now almost everyone in the trap music scene has been influenced by him.

I enjoy it for what it is. If you want conscious boom bap music go elsewhere. Hip-Hop has as many sub-genres as Rock now, no-one's gonna like it all.

Like French Montana, I prefer when he's mostly on the hook and a real MC is trashing the verses like Pusha T on Move that Dope or Senorita on dat new Vince Staples. I will say that I enjoy his verses more than Montana's, just cuz Future will play around with the triple time flow while Montana will try n act like he really spittin profound bars lol nigga gtfoh

This kinda brings up an interesting point...in a way the hip hop "nation" is more compact than Rock is. There's hella rock artists that really hardcore rock fans probably would never have heard of because it's a whole different sub-genre then what they're in to. In Hip-Hop/Rap everything is more blended together and more tight knit so people are exposed to more elements of the culture that they don't like and feel more of a need to comment on it..

and everyone collabs together. You'll never see Coldplay ft. Metallica or no shit like that. Meanwhile Future has a guest spot on Vince Staples album. Mos Def on A$AP Rocky album. Even Insane Clown Posse collabs with Tech N9ne.

this is true... thats why I do respect a lot of the 90's artists still. most collabo's that you saw back then were label partner features, occasionally you'd see a mix up of too short on a big record or 8ball and redman on a track but it was special features not as common place as today.

at the end of the day it's about the finished product but I do agree that the game is way too convoluted right now.

You been under a rock? Even if you not a Future fan. He's dropped 2 albums.

Jeezy is the better Rapper (all he does)

Future is the better Artist (raps, sings, performs all of his hooks)

Two completley different styles Jeezy is a street rapper that makes deep songs too that just raps

While Future is a Melodic Artist that makes every type of song

Big fan of both

Thats a cop out. Now if you are a fan of future cool to each his own. But when you make claims that he has a talent of singing better than andre 3k and other rappers thats a false fact point blank. He cant sing unlike a t pain who no voice effects can sing. He cant sing like an usher or trey who are true rnb singers.

We can debate his hook writing and flow all day. But there is no way in hell you can say Future Fredrick Douglass actually is a great live singer.

This is old Future when they called him Meathead and Rico Wade dropped Da Connect. No autotune, he was sounding like your typical Dungeon Family member
