I guess the lyrics overshadowed the gimmick.

I think it was just by default he was put at the bottom of the list of WU members.

Which says alot about the group in terms of having dope MC's. Cause if u listen to some of the shit he be spitting he is far from WEAK as a rapper..

But thats what happens when u run with the Dream Team.

Somebody has to be Chris Mullin or Clyde Drexler status. And both them nigguhs in the hall.

So aint no knock being at the bottom tier of the Wu..

Everybody in the hood back then grew up on Shaw Bros. movies and comic books. Even my generation who was younger (1983 baby) and that was their whole style so it was easy. "Kicking rhymes like Jim Kelly" for instance you don't get that shit unless you remember old blaxploitation kung fu joints like Blackbelt Jones which we always used to watch in the saturday afternoon movie and vhs tape days.

Jim Kelly was in Enter the Dragon fam cmon.

And the Wu members names came from actual kung fu movies and Characters

Ghost Face Killa

Method Man

Old Dirty Bastard

Golden Arms

60 Second Assassin

Masta Killer

Liquid Swords was a movie

Iron Flag was a movie

Da Mystery of Chess Boxing was a movie

Enter the 36 Chambers was a movie

8 Diagrams was a movie,

so they touched on nostalgia and we could relate to it.

Lo Ming was the only one in Super Ninja's and the dude that played the Snake wasn't in a lot of the mob movies. There are a few movies in which some of them are not in them.

All the actors from 5 deadly venoms kept recurring roles in most of the sjae brothers movies.

I should have kept reading.

But you guys know exactly what you're speaking of.

If it wasn't for the wu. That west coast grip would have been tighter
