Why does everybody pretend to know psychology?

. Lately I've been interested in the Meyers Brigg Type Indicator/Carl Jung's theory of personality but I don't know how credible that is either. Psychology is still interesting, though.

Forget the fact that I have a degree in Psych and an advanced degree in the human sciences field.
Anyone who has studied the humanities realize that all they are doing is advancing knowledge which they already have.
There is nothing particularly "Intelligent" about having some knowledge about politics. Politics dominates the communities in which we live. At some level everyone has at least some knowledge on the workings of the political system.

Too much of a premium is placed on intelligence. And in my humble opinion I find that the African American community is always prone to point who is smart and who is not; then proceed to use the most ridiculous scales to measure said intelligence.

I tested as an infp (introvert/intuitive/feeler/perceiver) but I think I might be an infj (introvert/intuitive/feeler/judger). Some of the answers I gave were based on how I would ideally respond in a situation and not how I would actually respond in a situation, if it weren't for that, I might have tested as a thinker instead of a feeler.

You can take one online but there are more professional tests that you'd have to pay for.

I took it a couple yrs ago. thats why I asked. I am INTJ introverted/intuitive/thinking/judging.
