NY clubs gotta be dead af without southern music being played in it.

Its 3:00 in the morning & nobody dancing to U-God new single. people leaving the club early & pulling off from the parking lot because bishes sitting down & not twerking

DJ: "Yo yo yo all my ladies, get ready & stand up for this new MF Doom & Immportal Technique 12 whole minutes of nothing but bars song"

Random Girl: "Im tired of sitting down. Do you have Gucci, Rocko or any Young Scooter or anything to dance to?"

DJ: "sorry, only rappers with lyricism get played in this club"

We're still doing these types of threads in 2013??? Really??? Rap is wack all the way through!! Wu-Tang is still dropping heat but niggas ain't listening. No region can talk bad about another these days cause wack niggas are running the game from everywhere! I men people are praising Kendrick right now, but he will fall off eventually cause niggas will stop listening. This argument was cool about ten years ago, but now fuck that shit! When you got dudes like ASAP Rocky, French Montana and Trinidad James running the game nothing can be said.

I actually ran into this explanation of the differences between Southern and East hip hop the other day, these aint my ideas but its a good way to look at it for Southern posters

"South = More Musically inclined/involved than Northern music, goes for jammin songs, dance music as well

North = More Lyric driven, less musically inclined, goes for shock and grittiness"

The real question is why is Southern Hip Hop more diverse than east coast Hip Hop? Its like 1200 sub-genres of Southern Hip Hop.

South more musically inclined which explains why we invented every other form of African American music

North less musically inclined which would explain why Whiteskins gravitate towards it, no rhythm, and you know they wanna romanticize about the "shocking and gritty" realities of the "ghetto" that east coast rappers talk about

Less Musically inclined? Dude wake up. Hip Hop was birthed in NY every aspect of it. 1200 sub genres that all sound the same. Same tired ass 808 drop with a 16th hi hit and rolling snares.

Whether you want to call them sub genres or not. I will share this with you.

NY MC's created Harmonizing. Cold Crush, Crash Crew, Force MD's

NY MC's created Shit talking. Bizzy B, Cowboy

NY MC's Created Socially Conscious MCing. Melle Mel, KRS

NY MC's Created Story Telling. Spoonie G, Kool Moe D Slick Rick

NY MC's created Party MCing. Slick Rick Dougie Fresh,

Philly Came in with. PSK by Schooly D. (Ice T made 6 in morn off of this Blueprint)

Philly Came with Steady B, Cool C. ( they brought a more flashy fly feel to Hip Hop)

I could go on and on with this. The point here is none of it sounded the same. I'll share a lil more.

Kane didn't KRS, KRS didn't sound like Slick Rick, Slick Rick didn't sound like g rap, G rap didn't sound like Rakim.

Tribe didn't sound like EPMD, EPMD didn't sound like P.E. P.E. didn't sound like Das EFX and so on and so forth.

Southern MC's where never this diverse in sound and certainly not subject matter.

Cali even has a more diverse sound and artists. You can go from Snoop, NWA to Heiro, E-40 to exhibit and they are all polar opposites. I don't think you know what you are talking about.

smh @ walking up in the club in New York & bishes trying to shake their ass & dance to Canibus & Keith Murray The Undergods album

lol @ bishes trying to twerk to Canibus Poet Laureate Infinity 1000 bars song.

twerking to songs with no hooks

Your post would actually be funny if, there was any truth to them. Your posts read like this.

I have never in my life ventured pass the county line of Po Donk, Bubble Fuck. So, I'll just make shit up about a place I have never been, more then likely cannot afford to go and have no intentions of going because there is no parking for tractors and they don't allow overalls and white K-swiss in the club.

Gawd you people are easy. Set the obvious nonsense bait and yall fall for the trap. Nobody has to explain why they like somethin. Unless its illegal and they tryin to avoid jail maybe> This effects the South popularity none just like all the other South hating.

everyone supports garbage rappers.

i know garbage southern rapper aint just sellin down south like NY artists only sell on their coast.

LMFAO the harsh reality is the south has slower public schools and people really don't understand all those big words

I live in ATL and be in the streets. It's sad, but true

Plus they relate to ppl like them so of course the gravitate towards ppl where they're from
