I swear if Pac didn't go to jail, he wouldn't be a legend like he is, now. I'm not wishing it, but look at his album before 'Me Against the World'.

Strictly for my niggaz is a good album. And me against the world is a classic album, your point is........

but illmatic would not have done 5 mil, simply because the overall product was not great...

I knew I was debating with someone who had no damn idea what he was talking about. This confirms it....

lmao at Pac being a Movie Star. No, he was an actor but far from a movie star. You know what was Pac's most successful film? Poetic Justice. You know why? Because of his co-star Janet Jackson was killing shit with her #1 single "Again" (which she won an academy award for). Now lets look at a quote from the first movie to release after tupacs death;

Gridlock'd is a 1997 film starring Tupac Shakur, Tim Roth, and Thandie Newton. It was the directorial debut of Vondie Curtis-Hall, who also wrote the story and screenplay. The film's opening was relatively low, despite critical acclaim; its opening weekend netted only $2,678,372 and it finished with a little over $5.5 million.[1] The film paid tribute to star Tupac Shakur, who had been murdered several months before the film's release.

Movie star my ass...

i dont care wat u say pac bein n filmz like JUICE, POETIC JUSTICE & ABOVE DA RIM made him a MEGA STAR n da rap world while he was ALIVE givin him a larger audience then ya average rapper plus he was bi coastal pac was not just 1 coast when u get that then u will understand pac betta!

I personally think that 2Pacalypse Now is better than Me Against the World. I wasn't aiming for Strictly.

nigga compared Illmatic to The Marshal Mather

Em has beats by Dr Dre, Big Features, Videos, the whole 9 yards also extra promotion through Dr Dre's own albums..the album sounded good.....add to the fact he is WHITE

Ilmatic had two songs from Premo, but overall the album was lyrics, lyric and lyrics..sonically naw

when nas dropped If I Ruled The World, thats when the world went crazy for him.....that song was his commercial success

Pac AEOM had so many potential commercially successful songs thats why it was such a hit...especially two albums worth

Me against the world is 2pacalypse with MUCH better production, songwriting ability, lyricism(he was more polished) and playable front to back

strictly was a good album

Movie star my ass...

you forget Juice, he single handedly made that film a classic...

Gridlocked was a low budget movie, and to act along Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction) that was a honor for Pac...that arguably is his best role, whislt the film did not do well in the box office, Pac was given credit and the movie is a cult classic..
