He says it's gonna flop on the song? It's not like the song was intended for commercial appeal.

I personally don't care for the song, his production is bland as fuck. Someone close to the nigga need to throw out his keyboard.

Why put out a single if you intend it to flop. Shit makes no sense.

Same reason why LL put out street singles like Who shot ya, 4321, etc. Obviously no one thought Miss America was going to do Work Out numbers.

I don't think it's "no one wants to hear uplifting music", i just don't think he executed well with Miss America.

The production was bland,

The song sounds poorly mixed

He is rapping too aggressively (too Canibus-ish)

At the end of the day, the music and execution has to match the content.

I was being sarcastic of course. But I feel ya. I like the song, but not single material. Sounds more like a mixtape intro.

Don't think his next Album will go anywhere near Gold like the first especially if his Singles don't even make it into the 2000 on I-Tunes.

Kendrick Lemar is by far the best new Artist of this generation i can't see Cole selling platinum with an Album in overall sales like Kendrick will

Its ironic you magically make this thread after the latest thread about big sean and how his songs aren't on the hip hop charts either. Like big sean j cole has to prove his consistency on album tracks.

Big Seans Album was decent and his Detroit Mixtape was good

J Cole and Kendrick both make better music than Eminem nowadays

It's a street/promotional single, the song wasn't intended for commercial audiences. It hasn't been released to radios and as far as I know they aren't making a music video for it. It's just a song to start the promotional process. Heck, he even says "they won't play this on the radio" in the song.

If you were referring to the quality of the song itself (which it doesn't appear that you are from your opening post), I think it's good. Nothing special though.
