Guap isn't even a flop. Song is getting mad play on the radio. Video was shot for it 2 weeks ago. Miss America that came and went.

the billboard charts and i tunes charts measure what people are buying and guap is missing in action on the hip hop and r&b billboard charts and on the i tunes charts its not on the first page or in the top 50. If guap was such a success the album would be released on its regular release date. But because it flopped sean pushed that shit back. He can say all he wants about needing more time to fix stuff but it comes down to niggas not liking the single.

Album wasn't push back because of the single tho. He pushed it back because he didn't want Def Jam to release it without giving the album the proper promotion. He felt that he rushed Finally Famous and didn't want to make the same mistake with this album.

so that is what he says that might not be the full reason. if guap was top 10 on the charts right now that is all the promo you need. For any artist while label promo can help its all about how your music is buzzing in the streets/radio etc. You can do all the promo you want if you follow up a dope mixtape you give out for free with a track like guap that is inferior to any song on detrroit you will not get people to buy an album.

A rule of thumb for flops...if you cant find it on the hip hop R&B charts a few weeks after it drops then its a flop....you got songs from the summer on that shit and guap cant crack that lol.

Sean hasn't even released the official video for Guap. He would be stupid to drop a album without even having a video at least in rotation. Dec 18th is in 2 weeks. That's what I mean by promotion. Do you know how long it took for My Last to take off? About 2 months. If a song is getting mad radio play I can't count it as a flop. Guap is still relatively new by radio standards.

my last was his first major radio friendly single and it included start power in chris brown. it took that long cause he wasn't mainstream yet. Radio play is based on what big sean is critisizing (the label). If his so called fans liked guap it would have a higher spot on billboard and i tunes. After detriot and the cruel summer features which he killed people were waiting for seans next move. And he sumbled with a tropical island dring ass single.

Unless the music video is the song playing in the backround of a nikki minaj sextape the single won't get any more exposure than it has right now weeks after it dropped. If your basing success of def jam paying for air time instead of how its doing on the charts then you got it twisted lol.

The music video not being ready is one of the reason why the album was pushed back. Plus on top of that Sean been touring like crazy last month. Get back in about a month to see if Guap is officially a flop. Fuck it I will be making that thread.

....you mean the same way you changed your avi to J. Cole after you lost that sales bet Dayday? Oh wait....

just like i misprojected kendricks numbers and admitted i was wrong i would admit my wrong. But a music video in this case wont make a difference in my opinion. Hell if he released mula or ffoe or RWT as an official single and it hit radio i think it would do better than guap.

he can tour all he wants (and i have been to his shows) but guap aint no my last, or ASS or mercy. Its not built for success on the charts plain and simple. in this ever instant news update world whoever would care about quap cares about guap...and in this case the lack of start power on guap + the fact its a poor mans version of mula will almost garuntee it aint going anywhere. But again go ahead and search for guap on the billboard chats....go ahead im waiting lmao.

RWT as a official single? Wouldn't have work. Mula tapped out at 122 on Billboard. Guap will top both records commericially.

of course mula only got to 122 on billboard you can download it for free on any mixtape site thats amazing it charted that high and only goes to show how great it would have been as a single

guap was released 10/26/12 its been over a month and its not on the top 25 for hip hop and guap is 124 on i tunes right now everybody laughing cause tropical drink songs on flop right now lmao

mula/ffoe/rwt> guap

I don't know why it flopped nor do I care, but I liked it. Yall niggaz know that if the white audience aint eating it up, then it's considered a flop, but I don't take the white man's word into consideration so...

Haven't heard it yet and I got no interest to listen to it yet cause I know this nigga ain't droppin at the end of January.

i cant believe a nigga actually said Cole and sean had equal verses on Looking For Trouble

im appalled

Big Seans next 4 singles off his next album will be heavy on features bet. The light weight nigga has not released a single by himself yet.

Can't Get Enough featured Trey Songz

Change Clothes featured Pharrell Williams

Empire State Of Mind featured Alicia Keys

03 Bonnie & Clyde featured Beyonce

Young Forever featured Mr Hudson

Run This Town featured Rihanna

Blue Magic featured Pharell Williams

Excuse Me Miss featured Pharrell Williams

List is endless of his Singles featuring an RnB Singer doing the Hook

So how can you of all people talk and say that about Big Sean when your fave RApper features and RnB Singer to do the Hook on almost every Single of his?

who cares if it has R&B hooks? I'd rather have a singer on the hook who can sing than a rapper who can't. the fuck would jayz sound singing the hook to empire state of mind

I know but was also giving J Cole as an example since this thread about him and because he got Trey Songz to do the hook but mostly was naming 99% of Jay Z Singles which have all had a Singer feature to do the Hook on Jay Z's Singles

Was ironic and laughable Usmarine calling out Big Sean for that though when his fave Rapper Jay Z 99% of Singles feature an RnB Singer on the Hook

So point is was funny Usmarine saying that about 4-5 Big Sean Singles when Jay Z has over 20 Singles with an RnB feature doing the Hook

Why does it matter?.. a singer on ya hook that can actually sing well is better than a rapper (sloppily) harmonizing his own hooks, for the most part.. BTNH are one of the exceptions that come to mind..
