the billboard charts and i tunes charts measure what people are buying and guap is missing in action on the hip hop and r&b billboard charts and on the i tunes charts its not on the first page or in the top 50. If guap was such a success the album would be released on its regular release date. But because it flopped sean pushed that shit back. He can say all he wants about needing more time to fix stuff but it comes down to niggas not liking the single.

WorkOut by himself
Cant Get Enough ft- Trey Songz
Mr Nice Watch featuring ft-Jay-z
Nobody Perfect ft-Missy Elliot
You acting like Cole aint do the same thing
Look at Wale. Has Had a feature on every single. Same with Meek Mill. Look at Jay-z. Outside of 1 or 2 songs he has had features on most of his singles his whole career.

Album wasn't push back because of the single tho. He pushed it back because he didn't want Def Jam to release it without giving the album the proper promotion. He felt that he rushed Finally Famous and didn't want to make the same mistake with this album.

so that is what he says that might not be the full reason. if guap was top 10 on the charts right now that is all the promo you need. For any artist while label promo can help its all about how your music is buzzing in the streets/radio etc. You can do all the promo you want if you follow up a dope mixtape you give out for free with a track like guap that is inferior to any song on detrroit you will not get people to buy an album.
A rule of thumb for flops...if you cant find it on the hip hop R&B charts a few weeks after it drops then its a flop....you got songs from the summer on that shit and guap cant crack that lol.

Sean hasn't even released the official video for Guap. He would be stupid to drop a album without even having a video at least in rotation. Dec 18th is in 2 weeks. That's what I mean by promotion. Do you know how long it took for My Last to take off? About 2 months. If a song is getting mad radio play I can't count it as a flop. Guap is still relatively new by radio standards.

my last was his first major radio friendly single and it included start power in chris brown. it took that long cause he wasn't mainstream yet. Radio play is based on what big sean is critisizing (the label). If his so called fans liked guap it would have a higher spot on billboard and i tunes. After detriot and the cruel summer features which he killed people were waiting for seans next move. And he sumbled with a tropical island dring ass single.
Unless the music video is the song playing in the backround of a nikki minaj sextape the single won't get any more exposure than it has right now weeks after it dropped. If your basing success of def jam paying for air time instead of how its doing on the charts then you got it twisted lol.

Itunes sales isn't the only thing Billboard measures....the Billboard Charts recently added digital sales -to its criteria acouple months ago
