Reasonable Doubt aside from my personal opnion by general consensus universally is considered his best Album easily. 7/10 Album where as both Hell On Earth and The Infamous are classic 10/10 Albums and Murda Muzik is 8/10

The Blueprint is definitley his second best Album and American Gangster is average

Its not that big a mystery, he just didnt have the juice yet... The quality of his music improved after they were gone so he benefited.

I doubt however he wouldnt have improved had they not passed, he'd of gotten better and still had been rich today with just more stories to tell.

Pac died in September 96, he was blowing up by the time BIG died in March of 97, he was sharing stages in NYC with BIG, and they both were considered hot.
