Who's Your Mt Rushmore For 2000-2009? (Jay & Nas Are Ineligible)

Em, Ye, and Wayne are solidified. They dominated the decade

TI would round out my fourth and I wouldn'tbe mad at anyone for switching him out with 50 (GUnit), Cam (Dipset), or Luda

All you said was Jay and Nas are ineligible you didn't say rappers who dropped in the 90's are ineligible

Well let's think about this.

If I asked, "Who is on the Mt Rushmore of Hip Hop"? The answer would be Jay, Nas, Big and Pac.

If we do it by decade, I was assuming that Jay, Nas, Big and Pac would win the 90s decade. But now that its been pointed out, you could say that Nas and Jay are on the 2000-2009 Mt Rushmore, which would leave room for two more 90s MCs (i.e. Ice Cube and somebody else)

Do you guys want to re-do these Mt Rushmores?

Kanye - I never fuck with his music that much, but you can't argue his place in the 2000's to present.

Just missed the cut: T.I.

That was actually pretty easy for me, but you should re-evaluate leaving off Jay and Nas. They released more albums in the 2000's than in the 90's and each had at least 1(if not 2) classic in the decade.

Jay came out in 1989 an nas in 1992 no they don't count

Nas didnt release his first LP til 94 and Jay til 96. And both in more work in the 2000s than the 90s.

And I'll say it again, Jay doesn't belong on the 90s Mt Rushmore over Cube.

So should we do the 2000-2009 again with Jay and Nas being eligible??

Or should we do a 1990-1999 Mt Rushmore thread?

or both?

My only condition would be that Jay and Nas would only be eligible for one decade or another, but they can't be on Mt Rushmore for 2 decades.

Nas was around for most of the 90s and was at his best in the 90s.

illmatic>>STILLmatic

It Was Written>>God's Son

Jay only dropped 1 classic in the 90s. Arguably, his 2nd, 3rd and 4th best albums were released in the 2000s.

And tho technically Jay dropped 4 albums in the 90s, 'Streets is Watching' not included, Vol 3 came right before the new Millennium so that really wasn't a 90s album. He dropped 7 albums in the 2000s and that's just the solo joints.

Didn't Wayne and em come in 1999

You can pick Wayne and Em because they don't have enough material to seriously considered for the 90s decade.

And the 90s are Jay, Nas, Big and Pac in case anybody is wondering.

Which leaves a problem; what to do about Ice Cube?

Jay's albums from the 2000's >>>> 90's

Blueprint, Black album and AG easily beats vol 1,2 and 3.

Yooooooooo I had to think about this, this is true AF. This could have been a dope thread. I 100% agree Jay's albums from the 2000s >>> his albums from the 90s.

Well you're the mod.

Fix it
