Niggas just lowkey hate Ross. Lesser of two evils here. Now all of the sudden BMF is Rosses only song with replay value. Like Ross wasnt on every remix for almost 3 years.

If it was the early 2000s , Ross would have at least two platinum albums maybe at least 3, and Drake woulda went diamond. Dont even do that shit. The game changed by the time Ross made it.

I guess I'd say Rick. He's made boss moves in and outside music. I aint over emotional and can give credit where due and Ja had probably bigger hits. A lot of songs made for the women which wasnt my thing but he had some songs I do fck with. And some the songs kinda grew on me. Dont like all Ross music either but for instance Aston Martin music was tight just heard it the other day. No dog in this race but Ross makes them moves and is still out doing his thing which is a difference. So Ja had big hits, Ross makes more notable all around boss moves. It doesnt have to be a competition or either or though.

Look bottom line is that what have this "what have you done for me lately" mentality when it comes to rappers. Ross can never live up to certain artist that came before him. He doesn't have the impact or hardware to show for it. He can keep putting out these projects that are lackluster with mediocre numbers. It's cool but don't act like he's better than 50. He's not even what 50 "used to" be

Responding to shit like this is what makes a nigga look like a stan

You niggas say the most outlandish shit and when a nigga counters he's automatically a stan

50 cent has never been a lyrical miracle nigga

Ever

Grodt he rhymed hood with good at least 3 times

So to act like ross has so much catching up to do is ludicrous

Sales wise a nigga can't take nothing from 50

I ain't the type of nigga to say "oh it's cuz he got shot," or "oh it's cuz he's signed to em," or "well everybody was selling back then"

The nigga had product that the people wanted

But he was not, is not and never was some lyrical juggernaut that would rap circles around anybody

Nah it's not about lyrical spiritual shit. It's kinda like pac. You just felt what he was saying. Maybe I'm a little biased because I'm a New Yorker but at that time the buzz was crazy. Never seen shit like that before. So no "Stan" shit. But the movement was crazy

Neither, what impact would they expect to have, Ja Rule was in a group and shined and got on, Rick Ross did his thing, they'll be forgotten like the rest of them

Exactly, Ja got some shine for awhile, but he'll mostly be remembered for his beef with 50, not his music. I know very few people who really fucked with Ja like that

How did he not?....without him we wouldn't have Drake or Future or whatever dumbass rappers wanna play it soft......and its sad everyone clowned Ja for it....now look at the game.....smh...JA made some good ass music...and thats that

THIS ONES TOUGH BC JA RULE MADE "SINGING RAPPERS" HOT...

WHILE ROSS MADE IT COOL TO BE INAUTHENTIC...OPENING DOORS FOR SLIM JESUS AND THEM.

VOTE FOR JA BC HE'S THE MOST COPIED RAPPER OF ALL TIME.

Here is my theory why:

By 2002, Ja was all on the radio, all on the video channels WITH SONGS ABOUT WOMEN!!! and everybody followed suit.

He changed the game. for years after, every hiphop song and video was about women and relationships.

Thats cool and all, but niggaz still need their hiphop. fuck a bitch.

See, the radio and videos use to play streets songs because that was our only outlet. Music videos use to be grimey and hardcore. Some that come to mind is das efx. epmd headbanger. Boss - Deeper. Redman vids. All they had to do was not cuss and not say Nigga and it was fair game. I remember when Dre Day came out and Snoop said "wit my sac on yo tousils.." and it wasnt edited.

But Ja-Rule came in and after that, it changed.

But WE still needed our shit. SO THE MIXTAPE BOOM HIT. and we stopped looking to radio and videos for our hiphop.

And Ja was for the ladies, and 50 had the streets thru the mixtapes with help from Banks and that other dude. and that other dude.

Ja-Rule tried, but this was the best he could do on the mixtape tip.

JA RULE - LOOSE CHANGE LYRICS (EMINEM, 50 CENT AND DR DRE DISS)

I don't know where you're from but mix tapes got big in the mid 90s on the East coast. Thats why cats in the mid 90s weren't selling like West coast artists, because rather than spending $10 and buying an album, you'd spend that same $10 on a mixtape.

Where im from, mixtape/CD's werent poppin all like that in the 90s. Thats why i posted all those words about it, YA THINK?

And u do know where im from, u reponding to a name of where im from. Duh.

Everybody aint from new york dunny.

Two of the softest frauds of all time.

Ja relied on Preme for backing him up while being extorted and singing love songs pretending to be a bootleg Pac/ LL.

Rick Ross is a former model correctional officer with a perfect attendance record who now pretends to be a drug kingpin.

At least we got Venni Vetti Vecci from one of them.

Ja Rule made the bigger impact. He sold more records and at his peak he was more popular.

But Rick Ross is better at rapping.

I got 5 no signs.

Do you guys really think Ja Rule is a better rapper than Rick Ross?

Thats not even a question

Seriously?

You think Ja Rule raps better than Rick Ross?

Its not even close, ja has better flow, better lyrics, better hits, a classic under his belt.....ross is wal mart of rappers, cheap and generic

Plus i can get through a ja rule album in one sitting, i have never been able to do that with a rick ross album

I feel the opposite. I think Ross has a better voice and a better flow, but I'll admit Ja had some catchy hits when he was in his peak.

And I consider Deeper Than Rap a classic. I'd say its better than any Ja Rule album.

In fact, I can't make out what Ja Rule is saying half the time, he really does sound like the Cookie Monster.

I remember listening to Clap Back and I couldn't make out the words.

Wtf? English is not my motherlanguage and i understand everything he says, i only have problems with the southern fucked up teeth guys sometimes. Maybe you should have stayed in school a little longer..
