I like the way Ross flows. He keeps the tradition of the steady flowing MC like Rakim, LL Cool J, Kane and Kool G Rap.

He's not like the new generation of Southern rappers that all have a southern drawl and pronounce words all wrong.

I like Ross because he doesn't sound like a Southern rapper. He sounds like he's from NY.

No the fuck he doesn't. Ross sounds nothing like a New York. He sound like he from the land of make believe

Ive seen alot of trolling on this site the last few days but this was outta line and blasphamous.

Reaaly my nigga?? Wow!! Smh

I'm wasting my time discussing this with people that weren't even born when Kane, G Rap and Rakim were in their primes.

Your wasting your time because your opinions of rap are complete shit and usually soaked in bias....btw i was alive

Whenever you post why you like something, its borderline retard shit

Nah you still try to explain yourself with some dumbass story...doesnt help that the logic behind what you are saying is still retard level

I'm going to go over this really slow so you guys can keep up;

Look who I voted for. I voted for Ja Rule. That's what that red square in the upper left hand corner of my post means.

So the red square means I think Ja Rule had a bigger impact.

But just because he made a bigger impact doesn't make him a better MC

MC Hammer made a bigger impact than Rakim, but Rakim is the superior MC.

As far as MC skills are concerned I never thought Ja Rule was above average, its just that he knows how to put a hit song together. His voice is very distinct. I never heard a lyric from Ja Rule and thought to myself 'damn that niggas nice' (except that "Your Mothers a crackhead"... line he dropped when he dissed Eminem)

But I prefer Rick Ross. I'd rather listen to Rick Ross than Ja Rule.

Now, did I type anything that went over your heads? Was my response too complicated? Do we need to go over this again?

Ppl aint mad at that, even though its stupid....they mad because you compared a talentless rapper with no flow to some greats and also because you said he sounds like hes from ny, which is basically dissing new york

What stanning, fool?

I said nothing in support of rick ross

Is that your go to response for a nigga not agreeing with you?

I'm sure there would be a reaction to ja being played in the club

The reaction would be for people to go to the bar and get them cups refilled

That's it

Here's a song by Estelle feat Rick Ross that I always liked. Ross goes in @ 2:15. If you listen to the way he flows, especially the part in the bolded, you'll see why I'm comparing him to Rakim, Kane and G Rap (who you guys don't even listen to). He raps fast with multi-syllables per bar. He doesn't drag out his words and he doesn't have a Southern drawl (not saying Ja Rule does).

All white in the winter

Green in the summer

Painted the Lamborghini same colour marijuana

Floating in the 6 til I made her seasick

Wetting these niggas up with this AMG kit

Earned a reputation repping up and down the boulevard

Me and baby Bonnie and Clyde off in the rental cars

Propositions through politicians are common now

My money tall we can never be on common ground

Peel the top back getting higher than the higher power

Making love in the penthouse then it's cianara

Fell in love with shawty blame it on the chemistry

Tools on the low fools really envy me

Money multiply S600 Benz

Me and my shawty alike we a team to the end

Monopoly shopping sprees imagine what we can spend

Me and my shawty live we gonna do this shit again

Break My Heart - Estelle feat Rick Ross

If I Stan in every ross thread

And you're there to witness it

Is it safe to say you're a BackInWhite stan?

And you just proved my point

I'm 29 and I don't remember the club when ja was popping

You know why?

Cuz by the time I was old enough to hit the club 50 cent had already demolished ja's career

Im a stan? Usually im the one in the thread and you say something towards what i said...so i think not

Your loss then, sucks that you gotta go to the club and listen to the shit music they play now, the most fun at the clubs these days is when they do a 90's hour or early 2000's hour....aint no body want to hear rick ross monotone bullshit, or future mumbling over wack beats

Hell this summer we played a bunch of 80's music at my bbq, people loved that shit....the stuff now a days....nah, it aint got that vibe

I guess if you wanna be real about it... It's Ja for only one reason. It helped further the bullshit that its half rappin+half singing=sales lane in hip-hop. To me its a negative impact as far as quality, but commercially its helping some wack niggas bankrolls that wouldn't of made too much noise otherwise.

Would you say the same about a more accepted and respected entity Bone Thugs n Harmony? Hmm? Ever think about the ironyof their name being THUG + HARMONY. Nigga thats Young Thug aint it?? lls Hmm? And they predate Ja with the sing song rapping by a few years actually:

Bone Thugs & Thuggish Ruggish Bone-1994

Ja & Can I Get A-1998

Look bottom line is that what have this "what have you done for me lately" mentality when it comes to rappers. Ross can never live up to certain artist that came before him. He doesn't have the impact or hardware to show for it. He can keep putting out these projects that are lackluster with mediocre numbers. It's cool but don't act like he's better than 50. He's not even what 50 "used to" be
