On a first date? Nowadays, you're better off splitting that check unless you're sure there's potential for the future. And even then, there's nothing wrong with splitting the bill.

You aren't any less of a man or gentleman by letting a woman pay. It's fucking food, not a mortgage. And the way alot of females act nowadays, if she offers to pay, she gets major points.

Rather get played having spent only a few dollars on dinner and a flick than being caught up because I didn't want to take the chance of feeling her out.

Was out just last night, after I got the first round she went and got the second. After a few drinks we ended up in this arcade hidden down one seedy alley. Didn't close til (30m ago) we spent a while doin' teenage crap in there. After I got a game, she did. Again no promptin'.
