Your list makes no sense. You have mixtape rappers on there who have had lackluster careers. You have people who died before we saw what they were made of. You have rappers in there who have had no solo albums. You have pop stars with wackass catalogs. Then you have rappers who are the best of the best in everybody's mind. There's no common theme to your list which is why it doesn't make sense to discuss shit like this because dudes just pick who they think is nice which is as biased as you can be.
That's like having a basketball top 10 of people like MJ and Kobe (everyone agrees with these 2), and then throwing in Mitch Ritchmond and Stephon Marbury because you personally think they're good even though they don't have the accolades to be put up there.
The only people I agree with in your list is Nas, Black Thought, Common. All who have longevity (15+), great catalogs (2+ real classics), and skills (battle-tested, lyrically elite). Everyone else on that list falls short in one of those categories.
First off you comparing music to basketball is great for me, but bad for you, why?? Karl Malone, Stockton, Wilkins are some of the greatest ball players ever...do they have a ring? No...Bron Bron is a great ball player and has he been in the league that long? No...Rappers doesn't have to make a classic album to be great...and if you're talking about 3000 when you're saying "You have pop stars with wackass catalogs" then you're fucking stupid you're favorite rapper , favorite rapper is 3000.. Outkast has made classics, and solo or not you can't knock 3000 lyrical skills and Black Thought doesn't have a solo album...why do you agree with me on that? Pac died before his time, yes but the nigga made 6 albums, and they were some thought provoking shit...your argument is bullshit, IMO Jadakiss has never made a classic album but he's one of the best to ever do it...pound for pound you can't name me 10 rappers who can go lyrics for lyrics with Eminem...if you don't like the white boy that's on you...my shit is based off what I listen to, not what everyone else listen to, and not too many niggas would put Redman on their list or Meth, Big pun might've made one album but the shit was classic, it's fucked up he died, Common Career isn't all that great, his shit isn't multi-platinum albums status, but the nigga is nice...Joe Budden is dope to I don't give a fuck what anyone says period...you might have Wayne in your shit but lol that's what you listen to... every rapper on my list fits all or a few of these: skills (battle-tested, lyrically elite), longevity (15+), great catalogs (2+ real classics)...so what's the fussing for? LOL
