I'm not saying he is not a good producer, just not the best.
He has a couple of songs that I ride to like Biggie's Kick In The Door but, his stuff does sound the same sometimes.

Mannie Fresh. His beats suit some of these trap rappers, and are basically the mould for all these Hot Boys/early-Cash Money rappers, but show me a beat that doesn't use 808's, or the same claps.
Not to mention, if Mannie's been producing for 20-something years, and his early stuff sounds similar in style to what he does now, how has be progressed as a producer?

Just Blaze is far from repetitive, this niggas R and B joints sound nothing like his hiphop shit and that sounds nothing like his EDM shit.
Alchemist is more diverse than Premo at this point in Premo's career
Just Blaze and ALC are two of my favorite producers, and I think they're better than Preemo.. although, Preemo has songs under his belt that are more classic than any song ALC produced, such as Ten Crack Commandments, NY State of Mind, Devil's Pie, 6th Sense, Mathematics, Unbelievable and Kick In The Door.. Preemo is a legend..
