The void left in Hip Hop when Pac died is one of the main reason , No Limit blew up. Pac's death is still being felt in Hip Hop. If Common dies it would have the same impact as the death of Freaky Ty. Sad But its true .

I'm gonna have to disagree with the bolded. Because at 25, Common had released "Can I Borrow a Dollar?". "Resurrection", and "One Day It'll All Make Sense." These three albums alone are enough for Common to contend for G.O.A.T., just based on the sheer quality of the actual work, and not what they accomplished commercially.

I don't think Pac really has one album in his catalog that is as casuistic, innovative, or complex as the three bolded.

even tho goat list don't make sense.. I think pac knew he had less time to live on this earth.. he was interviewed at 21 and a interviewer asked him what do you want and it was to be alive for more time.. I think pac was aware of death on a everyday level, really paranoid that's why no one say's he had classics or such because he did his work so quickly because of his notion of death..but i will agree he was more relatable to everyday persons.. if it wasn't for 2pac i would not have liked rap music as I thought everyone was beyond me but yet here was this person I could relate too. If common so great why is rap so garbage now....

IMO, Common is better. I got him over Pac in lyricism, complexity, figurative language, metaphors, storytelling(by a hair), and battling. They're tied in their overall message, delivery(Pac may have this), Flow, and Pac got him in presence. It's close but I give it to Common.
