None of them. There will be no more legends in Hip-Hop.

Slept on post.

I'm not saying that nobody can become legend but the genre of Hip Hop is different when it comes to RESPECT.

If Missy Elliott gets introduce to Kool Herc and she shook his hand and kept it moving like he's a scrub, there's a problem lol.

Contrary to popular opinion, 50 did not kill Ja Rules career, fans were already getting sick of him and his repetitive ass style long before.

True that. Folks were at the breaking point with Ja and them singing junts

It's partially true. MAINLY, people were getting tired of the SAME bullshit/formula (sorta like Ross now). He didn't fall off just because he was a fake tough guy doing soft music. 50 however took advantage of that and sealed the nail in the coffin for Ja. That's all I'm saying. It was a combination of things and not just one.

i agree with this. Folks were just tired of the same ole same ole. That shit he had with Bobby Brown was my shit though Thug Luvin i think.

I voted Drake also. Say what you want but his numbers don't lie (Sorry J Cole)

For most of that list it's way too soon fam.

Only nigga I think has the potential is J.Cole, lyrically he's ferocious and he has youth on his side so he can get even better, I honestly don't think there's anyone in his tier that even compares or is even close to him. He's got the mainstream appeal and sales (he sold the most out of all his peers), he has the critical acclaim (classic mixtapes imo), dude's making the type of music I used to love listening to (if that makes any sense LOLOL). He has presence too, like if he's on a record with some cats he steals the show and stands out - even when his verse is just "ok".

Ironically i remember Drake killing dude in that category. Jussayin. Keep it FACTUAL.

Ahh shit that's true my bad LOLOL, sometimes I get a little carried away. Iuno why I forgot about Drizzy going platinum on his albums. What's crazy is that unconsciously I didn't consider him one of Cole's peers even tho he very well is.

Platinum does not equal legend.Drake will be forgotten about just like Ja Rule.

I would agree with you but you're a hating ass nigga. Another reason why I didnt agree with you is because in order for Drake to be ja Rule, there needs to be a 50 to do that damage. Right now I'm not seeing that, and Drake seems to connected and protected to, but in the future if the climate changes you might ultimately end up being right..

I mean look at these young kids killing for no reason from Boston to Chi-Town to Cali still. Half these new parents aint shit so neither are there kids.

Dont Fuck around with them fucking arounds, I think these kids are fucking clowns. /rant

For now LOLOL

Ja went like 4 or 5 years of success before his career came to an end.... but man Im not sure I could imagine 'another 50 Cent' especially in these times :( then again shit anything could happen....

Kids today are too concerned about swagging and outflash one another with their feminine fashions. a DMX can never thrive in this climate cause no wants one.

all of these choices are pretty bad (except kendrick), tbh. Now Kendrick is a true artist and musician, but I dunno if he will do well commercially.

I can't believe you put nicki on that list. wtf?
