Drake is already a legend.

Kendrick can do it in his own way and KRIT will be an underground legend the same way as UGK & Ball and J.

J. Cole ain't gon be no god damn legend. Yall delusional as fuck.

I voted Drake also. Say what you want but his numbers don't lie (Sorry J Cole)

For most of that list it's way too soon fam.

Only nigga I think has the potential is J.Cole, lyrically he's ferocious and he has youth on his side so he can get even better, I honestly don't think there's anyone in his tier that even compares or is even close to him. He's got the mainstream appeal and sales (he sold the most out of all his peers), he has the critical acclaim (classic mixtapes imo), dude's making the type of music I used to love listening to (if that makes any sense LOLOL). He has presence too, like if he's on a record with some cats he steals the show and stands out - even when his verse is just "ok".

Ironically i remember Drake killing dude in that category. Jussayin. Keep it FACTUAL.

Legendary in a bad way?

I voted KRIT cuz I like his music, but I don't think he will become legendary.

The rest pretty much suck other than Kendrick.

Ahh shit that's true my bad LOLOL, sometimes I get a little carried away. Iuno why I forgot about Drizzy going platinum on his albums. What's crazy is that unconsciously I didn't consider him one of Cole's peers even tho he very well is.

Platinum does not equal legend.Drake will be forgotten about just like Ja Rule.

what does commercial appeal have to do with being legendary?.....some of the greatest are straight underground

if krit keeps doing what he's doing, he got it in my book

Name a rapper who had mass impact globally that didn't sell records. You think Masta Ace, Lil Brother, etc have transcended rap like Pac or Outkast.

Dudes like Pac, Jay, Nas,Outkast, Tribe, etc are the best of the best because they did it well on the greatest level and the biggest platform. Clearly underground niggas are underground because they lack something.

nosizzle....an artist only stays underground b/c kids and white people arent onto it or dont even get it....the thread title didnt say "who had a mass impact globally on the biggest platform and had a top 3 on 106th & park" nigga...

its clear legendary has different meanings on here just like everything else...its all opinion when its said and done tho

sn: i dont kno shit bout no masta ace or lil bro or none of that

nosign. it took 3 tries for Jay to hit mainstream and Nas' best album took seven years to go platinum. neither one of those niggas had "commercial appeal" at that point

This artist should be able to release multiple albums throughout his career.

I like his chances because he has the resources behind him.

Cole and KRIT are like first round talent too, though.

False, Jay went platinum on his second album.

Both those niggas had commercial appeal, when i say commercial appeal i mean a ''star quality''. A certain factor you can't put your finger on, but draws in listeners.

Actually, Jay didn't really cross over till Vol. 2 came out, which is his 3rd album. Vol.1 didn't go platinum until AFTER Vol. 2 dropped.

KRIT. I think he will eventually be considered a GOAT if he keeps his head right and keeps putting out good music. He made one of the few mainstream albums that i enjoyed from this year. I have a good feeling Kendrick and Cole are gonna end up going the Pop route. Krit will stay with his roots imo.

I would agree with you but you're a hating ass nigga. Another reason why I didnt agree with you is because in order for Drake to be ja Rule, there needs to be a 50 to do that damage. Right now I'm not seeing that, and Drake seems to connected and protected to, but in the future if the climate changes you might ultimately end up being right..

I mean look at these young kids killing for no reason from Boston to Chi-Town to Cali still. Half these new parents aint shit so neither are there kids.

Dont Fuck around with them fucking arounds, I think these kids are fucking clowns. /rant

Contrary to popular opinion, 50 did not kill Ja Rules career, fans were already getting sick of him and his repetitive ass style long before.

It's partially true. MAINLY, people were getting tired of the SAME bullshit/formula (sorta like Ross now). He didn't fall off just because he was a fake tough guy doing soft music. 50 however took advantage of that and sealed the nail in the coffin for Ja. That's all I'm saying. It was a combination of things and not just one.
