Em 2002 carried into 2003..Both Nas and Em where at Summer Jam.. Who was the headliner?

Supposed to have been Nas, but he and Hot had a fallout. Why you ask?

it was Rhetorical Nas performed in Summer Jam 2003 he brought out Krs-One

Eminem was the official headliner of Summer Jam 2003 (unofficially it was 50 who went out before Em)

So Nas isn't apart of Pop culture? News to me

Well if we are debating Pop culture maybe I should make a Pitbull vs Macklemore thread.

Good luck with that but u hvnt answered any of my questions...

What are your questions?

I asked them in this thread wtf

What were they?

Forget it nigga, if u slow enough to not know how to read your own thread then fuck it.

I'm pretty sure I answered whatever questions you had, whatever they were.

Surely u would take a ban bet for a week if you did then right?

sure

GTFOH and how do I know there will be niggas ONLY on the Reason trying to downplay Marshall ? Eminem what kind of question is that ? But it being the IC I won't be surprised if it's 10-1 in NaS favour against Eminem. Reason rule #1: "Thou shall not talk down on NaS or any Nation of NaSlem member"

But facts are facts. Eminem had his third best-selling album, proved he wasn't a one hit wonder, showed the hypocrisy of modern media and American families, delivered a classic album (and arguably his BEST album). Not to mention, he dropped TWO albums that went diamond that year (8 Mile), broke the box office, creating a classic hip-hop movie. THEN signed 50 Cent/G-unit, dropped back to back hit records and became an official solidified household name - WORLDWIDE before putting 50 Cent on 100%. He got his third and fourth diamond albums, and set the record for highest first week sales for a rapper at the time.

Not to take away from NaS but he was embroiled in the lasting parts of the Jay-Z/NaS beef. He dropped an amazing album but if we talking about who DOMINATED that year, easily Marshall Mathers. Two albums, a movie, clothing line, set the world on it's ears, there's no question.

Yeah but, Eminem had to do this to sell records;

Where's the pop track that made 8 Mile soundtrack sell 5 million? I'll wait....

What time do you want your ban to start @"5 grand"?

How is this even a question?

Eminem won as an artist....

Eminem won as an executive.....

Eminem won as an actor......

Then used the movie to drop another number 1 4x platinum album(8 Mile soundtrack) on his label, along with one of his biggest songs, if not the biggest song of his career(Lose Yourself).

50 cent had the streets on fire as it was then he got signed.....Guess what flag he was flying.

Again, how is this a question? Eminem's banner year is probably the best hip hop year anybody has ever had as an artist. He maximized EVERYTHING. Pac ain't even had a year like that.

I've been listening to hip hop since I was a kid. I've been there and I know what people prefer.

If thats how you see it okay but hip hop in primetime was pretty much New York RULING hip hop.

& I see hip hop as best 1994-2002.

Ok, your list is still bullshit. You claim to have listened to hip hop since you were young. Well you forgot about some people in some of those years, like Jay-Z, Pac, Outkast, Missy(she had 97-98 on lock wit her first album), Scarface, and of course Marshall.

Eminem shouldnt be mention because its Dr Dre that made him.

Also I agree with you Outkast, Pac, Jay & Missy had some great years but I'm just sayin which one I rank as number 1 from 1994-2002.

Tupac is the clear unthreatened winner of 1996. Death and all.

Eminem also got a production credit on God's Son.

Nas has Gods son & Lost tapes.

Nas was also probably on one of the most mainstream track of the decade that year aswell I'm gon be alright with Jennifer lopez.

& If you wanna talk about "production" let me add that Nas "you wanna be me" was on 8mile soundtrack.

Ask yourself.. How much did Nas get paid for that? ;)

Not as much as Em made off that soundtrack

Nas definitely put out better music that year but em had the hiphop game on lock. Not just pop culture..to the point that nas even rapped over one of his mediocre ass beats on gods son
