But facts are facts. Eminem had his third best-selling album, proved he wasn't a one hit wonder, showed the hypocrisy of modern media and American families, delivered a classic album (and arguably his BEST album). Not to mention, he dropped TWO albums that went diamond that year (8 Mile), broke the box office, creating a classic hip-hop movie. THEN signed 50 Cent/G-unit, dropped back to back hit records and became an official solidified household name - WORLDWIDE before putting 50 Cent on 100%. He got his third and fourth diamond albums, and set the record for highest first week sales for a rapper at the time.
Not to take away from NaS but he was embroiled in the lasting parts of the Jay-Z/NaS beef. He dropped an amazing album but if we talking about who DOMINATED that year, easily Marshall Mathers. Two albums, a movie, clothing line, set the world on it's ears, there's no question.
