I did work for God but I quit, tried to get fired for unemployment but the devil is a greedy bastard. So now I work for myself, shit is way better.

Selflessness, working for the good of others both now and in future generations.

I don't think it's possible to work for God. People might thinks so, but to say that leaves room to name your profession, no matter how "sinful" it might be, and say "I'm doing God's Work". I would even go on a limb to say that even if the work is good from a moral standpoint, people don't know what God intends to use their labor for. As far as I know, I work for myself and if it happens to be what God wants, so be it.

Lately I've been wondering if 'to work for god' means: in all that you do, do it for god. So instead of doing your job for your employer/yourself, do the job as though you were doing it for god. God being the highest CEO there is. And it could go for anything, clean your house not for yourself(etc), but for god. Doing all work for god might help to humble us too and help us to always do our best.

You work for yourself or your family, to survive in society. Now, when you receive your wages...you're expected to give God what's his, and give Satan what's his, or something similar I'm sure;

Matthew 22: 19-21 ...

Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

God has a need for American Currency?

I thought children were already unto his fold, well that is until they can be held accountable.

Edit: or do you mean children as in all humans?

My post was relating to tithing, and all those things you've learned about it's relevance in terms of God's expectations of us.

Who do you give cash to?

I think it means what it means, you work for God. We're called "God's servants" so clearly we some how are working for God. Well, the believers are anyway. They gotta follow all his rules and obey his biblical commands. They put in work at church, spreading the word in the streets etc.

That's working for God imo. I now do my own bidding with my own mindset with my own beliefs.

so I take a few moments/exposing a bytch:
a glitch, is in no system God has created
Can't debate it, when I grab Raid/sprayed it!
Jaded, is what yall be whenever I post here
Spaded: I dig yall's intellectual grave, quear!

A tithe (pronounced /ˈtaɪð/; from Old English teogoþa "tenth") is a one-tenth part of something, paid as a (usually) voluntary contribution or as a tax or levy, usually to support a religious organization. Today, tithes (or tithing) are normally voluntary and paid in cash, cheques, or stocks, whereas historically tithes were required to be paid in kind, such as agricultural products (that grown of the land, or fruit of the tree). Several European countries operate a formal process linked to the tax system allowing some churches to assess tithes...

"Tithing" also has unrelated economic and juridical senses, dating back to the Early Middle Ages

Your "rap game" is horrible.

Also, it's not in the bible to TITHE money or ANY type of cash. Re-read your bible please.

Shit got twisted for the sake and advantage of the pastor. There's nothing wrong with an "offering", but to call it a tithe and for the church to say you must give up 10% of your income (for tithing) is very unbiblical and a "false doctrine".

So yes, you did take the bait. Don't be mad, hook line and sinker.
