I've seen couple ppl talkin bout reparations. SMH. Man gtfoh. America aint finna give niggas no reparations. They will buy niggas a 1 way ticket back to Africa b4 they pay any reparations.

So do you believe that it is not worth fighting for? Niggas is out here fighting to take down statues that they didn't care about last week I'm just stating that those same white people that think they are doing us a favor by protesting this and advocating to get these statues taken down would never support anything that would truly get black people in a better situation, like reparations

Surely, you do not believe that these counter-protests do not help black people at all, do you?

Explain to me how does it help? Have our problems disappeared since the removal of these statues? How has removing statues improved black peoples condition in this country? Should black people forgive all of the atrocities committed against us by this country and still being committed til this day because some white people are willing to protest to get some statues taken down?

Yeah i hate ignorant niggaz like you. The system of white supremacy wont change overnite. You have to chip away as much as you can. Aslong as the mainstream media's focused on white nationlist, and confederate monuments are coming down, racism loses. They are slowly losing power. But niggaz like you cant see the bigger picture bc its not happening overnite. FOH

So taking down statues is going to stop racist from being racist? Dumb niggas like you said the same shit would happen with intergration and decades later you still facing the same problems. You love white people more than yourself

No. You're slowly taking away their power. White ppl have controlled everything in this country, from money, laws & more importantly HISTORY. The more ppl from other races come 2 realize the atrocities white ppl have commited, the less control white ppl will have over the narritive. Those statues are just a reminder of white supremacy. Use ur brain negro

so racism gone stop? ok

U niggaz is dumb smh. No point in debating something u cant fully grasp

grasp? so where were these same people a year ago? nobody was hollering bout lets take these statues down a year ago but now its a hot topic. miss me with that bullshit. so show me a post of yours were a year ago you was like we need to take down these statues. ill wait.

Wtf does that have 2 do with anything? Lol. They're symbols of hate & white supremacy's taking a L. The first step of gaining back power is thru history. What nigga would have a issue with something like that? Just bc you not getting a free reperations check tomorrow dont mean progress isnt made nigga

I see both sides here. I support the monuments coming down. However, I believe the action will have no impact going forward.

If the lives of humans beings, ruined and lost in Blacks peoples fight for justice in America hasn't moved other races to join in numbers that can actually make a difference then, I don't see these monuments being the catalyst.

Also, we cannot allow or accept other races to dictate what the majority of Black people believe will win us what we seek and that's justice. So, if, other races aren't fighting to help change, our current prison, and educational situations that are directly linked to injustice, police brutality and inequality in the job markets then they don't have our best interest at heart. Other races particularly whites don't have the right or moral compass to tell us how, when and where to attack this nations worst disease aka white supremacy.

University Of Texas Removes 4 Confederate Statues Overnight

The University of Texas at Austin removed several confederate statues overnight on Sunday following an announcement from the school’s president, Gregory Fenves.

“Last week, the horrific displays of hatred at the University of Virginia and in Charlottesville shocked and saddened the nation. These events make it clear, now more than ever, that Confederate monuments have become symbols of modern white supremacy and neo-Nazism,” Fenves said in a Sunday statement.

Three of the statues being removed, including one of Confederate general Robert E. Lee, will be relocated to a campus exhibit. The fourth statue, which depicts former Texas Gov. James Hogg, may be relocated to another spot on the campus, Fenves said.

Fenves said he made the decision to remove the statues after a discussion with students, university staff, and alumni.

“The University of Texas at Austin is a public educational and research institution, first and foremost. The historical and cultural significance of the Confederate statues on our campus — and the connections that individuals have with them — are severely compromised by what they symbolize,” he said in the statement. “Erected during the period of Jim Crow laws and segregation, the statues represent the subjugation of African Americans. That remains true today for white supremacists who use them to symbolize hatred and bigotry.”

A spokesman for the university, Gary Susswein, told the Austin American-Statesman that the statues were removed after dark with little warning due to public safety concerns.

Yeah, because the black people in this country who make up 13% of the population and have very little power and wealth are the ones that are impeding on her children's future not the rich white people who hoard the wealth, buy the politicians, and push for actions that hurt people like her and her children.

Louie Gohmert Suggests Terry McAuliffe Should Be Investigated for Charlottesville Violence

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) is pointing fingers over Charlottesville. Who is he blaming? Dem. Governor Terry McAuliffe and Charlottesville mayor Michael Signer.

In a Sunday appearance on Fox & Friends, Gohmert called for a Department of Justice investigation on McAuliffe and Signer because…um…who knows, exactly?

“The way forward’s not gonna be easy,” Gohmert said. “And I think the Justice Department needs a full investigation of the governor, of the mayor.”

In addition to charging the two Virginia pols with inciting Charlottesville for no apparent reason, the Texas Congressman went on to throw out a completely unsubstantiated claim that McAuliffe and Signer were complicit in violence at President Donald Trump events.

“We have got to have this investigated,” Gohmert said. “They were the violence (sic) at Trump events, and they may have been behind this violence getting started. They facilitated it, anyway.”

Earlier in the segment, the Congressman suggested that he and his Republican ilk could be voted out of the House in the next term if the party doesn’t deliver on its promise to repeal and replace Obamacare.

“I think so,” Gohmert said, responding to a question about whether the GOP might be voted out.. “And they should be. Because those were things that we promised we’d do.”

https://twitter.com/FoxNews/status/899295586062553088

Fox News host Jesse Watters lashed out at Democrats over the weekend for opposing statues of Confederate War "heroes."

In a controversial press conference last week, President Donald Trump defended people who marched with neo-Nazis and white supremacists in Charlottesville, Virginia to protest taking down Confederate War monuments. Trump argued that there were "fine people" at the march who only wanted to protect their Confederate "heritage."

"I wonder, is it George Washington next week?" Trump bellowed at the time. "You really have to ask yourself, where does it stop?"

Unsurprisingly, Watters took the president's side on the issue. Haters gotta hate.

"Watters World personally believes that Confederate War statues are part of our nation's history," Watters opined on his Saturday night show. "And can serve as important relics to reflect upon."

However, the Fox News host admitted that the monuments are "divisive."

"Let's also remember that all of these Confederate War heroes were Democrats," Watters said without explaining the relevancy. "Democrats were the party of slavery. Maybe the left wants to tear down these statues so the country forgets that the Democratic Party enslaved black people."

"But I actually think that those on the left want to destroy any monument of revered historical leaders," he added.

Maybe Jesse needs to rely on actual history books rather than statues for his information so that he can remember that most of these statues were erected either during the Jim Crow years or Civil Rights era to remind African Americans who were fighting for equality that they were less revered than the traitors who declared war on this country and that those Democrats who fought for slavery actually left the party to become... Republicans.

But historical facts are not the friends of white supremacy apologists like Jesse Watters.

Former Trump Spox: Slavery Is Actually Part Of America’s ‘Good History’

Former spokesperson for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, Katrina Pierson, appeared on “Fox and Friends” Monday morning to defend keeping Confederate statues on display as politicians and activists call for their removal, saying Americans love their “good and bad” history.

“Those monuments have been there for a very long time and suddenly Nancy Pelosi wants to actually help these anarchists and these violent protesters tear down pieces of America, American culture and American history,” she said. “Americans actually love their history, their culture, good and bad, because it helps them learn and it helps keep people educated about why America is so great to begin with.”

John Hopkins University professor Wendy Osefo, the other guest, pushed back, saying people should understand the actual history behind many of the Confederate monuments, which she said were erected after 1865 as a way for the Ku Klux Klan to revolt against African Americans gaining political power.

“So this is not a symbol of patriotism. This is a symbol of hatred and division. And while it is a piece of American history, it’s not necessarily the good part of American history. It’s actually nefarious,” Osefo said, saying the statues should be placed in museums, not on state grounds.

“It absolutely deserves a place because bad history is still good history for this country,” Pierson said.

“Slavery is good?” Osefo asked.

“Considering where we are today, where we are today. Absolutely,” Pierson said.

When asked to clarify what she meant, she said the statues should stay up as a history lesson to children.

“During those times, during those times — think about it for a second. Where would we be today if not for that Civil War? How would our children even know… How would our children even know how special and how wonderful this country is that we can even be having this discussion today?” she said.

“How special slavery is? Do you know how many people died?” Osefo said, prompting co-host Ainsley Earhardt to try to rein the two guests back in.

“This country was founded on slaveowners who actually put into place — to change the laws,” Pierson said.

“You’re completely out of line,” Osefo said.

This is one of the reasons why I have moved on from America's issues being simply Black vs White. For me it's about anyone of any color who supports and maintains white supremacy. And this is the perfect example of how we have a very large a vocal contingency of Blacks that are indeed white supremacists. Disgusting.

Jerry Falwell Jr. Defends Trump’s ‘Both Sides’ Remarks: ‘He Has Inside Information’

On today’s broadcast of ABC’s This Week, guest host Martha Raddatz noted that when they reached out to the White House to see if they would send someone to speak for the president, they were referred to Jerry Falwell Jr. Falwell, the president of Liberty University, was an early supporter of Trump’s during the presidential campaign.

Right off the bat, Raddatz pressed the evangelical leader over his praise of Trump’s Charlottesville comments in which the president blamed “both sides” for the violence while defending the alt-right.

“The bold and truthful statements I was talking about was the willingness to identify the groups, the Nazis, the KKK, the white supremacists by name,” Falwell answered, pointing to Trump’s Monday statement and not his Tuesday presser. “That is something a leader should do.”

Raddatz retorted, “He said there were very fine people on both sides. Do you believe there were very fine people on both sides?”

Falwell countered that the president apparently saw things that others haven’t because he has access to secret info.

“He has inside information that I don’t have,” he told Raddatz. “I don’t know if there were historical purists there. He had information I didn’t have. I believe he spoke what was — I think he saw videos of who was there.”

Raddatz and Falwell would go round and round over Trump’s response and whether it suggested there was a moral equivalency between white supremacists and counter-protesters. Falwell would go on to brush off that criticism — including from Heather Heyer’s mother — by stating that Trump doesn’t have a “racist bone in his body.”

Katrina Pierson isn't black though. There is only ONE black woman on that panel.

We need to get rid of this idea that bir-racial people are black.

Hell, Pierson is probably not even half-black.
