Which region is the most closed minded to rap from other regions?

To me, hip hop period doesn't really seem as regional as it was in the 90s/early 00s. The reason i think it's not as regional anymore is becuz a lot of the younger/newer generation was expose to more music/culture outside of their area. The fact that hip hop isn't as regional like it use to be is a good and bad thing. It's bad because when hip hop was regional, u got a taste of what a certain city was like. For example, when i listened to outkast southernplayalistic album, i felt like i was livin in east point, ga and got a feel of what goes on there. When i listened to dj quiks music, i felt like i was from compton n so on.
Its a good thing that hip hops not regional because people are more open minded now and less sheltered. With the internet enabling people to interact with each other from different places across the globe, u find that we all have a lot in common and therefore won't miss out on great music from anywhere.
So i say all that to say, i don't think no region is as close minded as the past.

When I say the north east, I'm not basing that on whats over the radio but the avg jack n jill. this forum can be seen as a microcosm and even through this medium its more than clear. of course there are exceptions but that is far and inbetween.
the avg hip hop listener (especially those within the age range of 30+ from the south and the west) would have more east coast albums in their collection at a rate of 3 to 1 in favor of east coast. (going out on a limb here) but No east coaster from any era could say the same in the reverse.
Me personally enjoy east coast hip hop more than any other region including my own. My collection starting back from 1984 (i was 11/12) comprise of 75% east coast and 15% west 10% south.
As many east coast transplants that I have known in my life out here in L.A. was more open to embrace a few big names but only in part (2pac/NWA/Ice Cube generally) but couldn't really sync with the various alternatives from the west or the south.
They don't totally embrace the artist they do make exception to whereas we on the west and south would be more consistent fans/supporters of east coast artist without having a cherry picked top 40 hip hop single as i noticed east coast listeners were accustomed to doing.
This is not a slight towards east coast cats, just own up to it. We were more able to adapt to what we heard from east coast artist than the other way around being that the east started this and that sense of regional pride makes it harder for east coasters to compromise and open up to more artist that aren't platinum mainstream from south/west region.
Plus the south/west/midwest are more in sync culturally so we embrace each others music based on having much more in common in terms of things relative to street life.
