I'm looking for a credible site right now. I went to a seminar in NV about a year ago. It was sponsored by JT Morgan (I know lol) and it had slides containing information about finances in America. It stated that million of Americans live debt free by simply living within their means. Doing the opposite is what puts many in financial strain. I still find it hard to believe that in this country we can have a small fraction remian free of debt. If I'm wrong then god help this country even more than yesterday.

Oh, well I was looking at "debt" from a different realm. I guess when you look at having a mortgage and a car note as debt, the numbers are quite lower. I don't know one person who has a house paid off. However, these people look at debt in a different light because of the thousands they have in CDs and bonds. I was referring to people who live paycheck to paycheck with astronomical credit card bills and living necessities close to repossession. Either way you're right. This country gets twice as bad before it takes one step towards progression.
