I don't see Jeezy dropping so how is Gibbs gon drop?
This Wale 2nd deal but also his 2nd album
I just think he made a mistake signing to CTE

I actually think Gibbs signing to CTE is a mutually beneficial situation. Right now, fans of Jeezy are checking for Gibbs because of his affiliation, but since Gibbs is a young artist, and will get more notoriety as the years go on, any music he does with Jeezy will have younger fans still checking for Jeezy. Is he on Wiz's level? No. But, next year he could be on Curren$y's level if he keeps grinding.

Also, in this new era of social networking and YouTube, it doesn't matter if he drops an official album that does numbers in order to be relevant(Curren$y, Gucci, etc.). If he drops an album, since it won't be full of simp songs, it's probably not going to do well and he'll be in the hole to some major label that doesn't give a shit about him or our culture anyway. So, he can make exactly the type of music he wants through mixtapes and Digital EP's and gain a loyal following, while still getting show money(at Wiz's shows, his mixtape tracks get more love than his tracks from his pop friendly album). All he really needs is that breakout tape/song/video. Just because he hasn't risen as fast as ASAP Rocky doesn't mean he should just give up.

i don't see why Jeezy isn't gonna drop homie. Jeezy has had too much success for all of a sudden they don't wanna release his album....hell hes putting out mixtapes too. CTE is fine homie

Who said he should give up?
And who said sign to a major label?
I think he would have been better off alone Ala the curren$y route
Jeezy's star is waning and that ain't gon help the fact that Gibbs is a big mouth hater

How long tm103 been "coming soon"?
That's y I don't think he'll drop
On top of the fact that he has no major singles to speak of that have garnered any buzz for the album
U say CTE is good but it ain't lookin like that to me
The CEO can't get a real release date and there are no artists that can stand alone
Do u see jw or boo Rossini droppin albums anytime soon?
Niggas have came in the game, dropped an album, took time off, dropped another album all since jeezys last album
how do u have so much faith in dude?

I thought that's what you were implying, but if you think he should go the independent route, then I agree. I think all artists should. However, him with CTE still works. CTE is under Def Jam, which is a major label. As far as him having a big mouth, I don't really follow these guys personal lives, so I can't speak on that. Him being linked to Jeezy is something he used as a springboard to grab more attention for himself, while he releases new music. But, being on CTE won't stop him from independently releasing music through mixtapes/EP's that could potentially bring him to a wider audience. Cam's star was waning, but when he put Vado on, it was a mutually beneficial situation for both. We'll see, though. Gibbs is a very talented artist. Did you hear "Cold Day In Hell" yet?

Vado is not "on", sir

Well, they didn't keep up the momentum that they had going in 2010, but the Boss of All Bosses mixtapes and "Stop It Slime" really did have him "on" and had people checking for him and it helped Cam re-emerge. But, like I said, they didn't really keep it up this year for whatever reason. Again, like I said, if Gibbs stays on his grind and consistently drops mixtapes, he'll be good. Madlib has fans that have never heard of Gibbs who will now be checking for him after their EP drops.

Again, did you hear "Cold Day In Hell" yet? If not, you should definitely download it. He kills every song, has versatile subject matter, and the production is on point. You'd deinitely like it. But, in answer to your original question, "Where The Fuck is Freddie Gibbs?" - he just dropped some great music a little over a week ago, and is about to drop an EP with a legendary producer - THAT'S where he is.

Irrelevant to me. I don't care if anyone else knows the music I like.

nobody has a clue who mac miller is but dude just sold a shitload of albums

it's a new day when you can get a internet buzz tour off your mix tapes to small college towns and be profitable without being well known.

Like said CTE is fine

Like I said, no singles that have garnered any buzz for the album

Nigga done dropped like 10 singles only to consistently have his shit pushed back

I'm quite sure u thought he was dropping September 20 too

And how is CTE fine when they're roster is full of mediocre to wack tagalong background rappers and the CEO can't drop a 3 year old album to save his life?

I used to be as big a Jeezy fan as anybody but lets face the facts, man

His gimmick is played out and his music has taken a then for the worst

I really don't see how an upcoming artist can thrive under him when he can't thrive himself
