5 months. During those five months, I just done whatever I wanted to at the time. I was living alone and had money to last for months before the next job. I wasn't worried.

I'll say now for anyone who's not employed, this is the best time to read, study, workout, build connections so you can work for yourself if possible or find employment you'll enjoy.

I'm in the Mtg industry so in 2008 when shit hit the fan 1 straight year on Unemployment. Than 2 years as a 1099 employee working for Law Firms and Title companies. Shit was the worse.

I quit what I was doing to get a job in the field im in now. It took me 9 months I think. I had some chances to get work during that time, but decided to stick to the plan. Shit was hard towards the end when the money dried up and I started questioning my moves and how i shoulda took the offers that came my way. Glad I sticked to the plan work. It worked out beautifully

6 months but I had GI bill pulling in 2200 a month going to school with health insurance for a year.

So the real question is when have I ever lived as an adult and not had a check coming in. Never!

Since college, 3 months.

Was in the military shipbuilding industry and they experienced a slow down. In my department they decided to go the first one in, first one out route so I got the boot. Got a huge severance check and was living with my folks so I wasn't tripping. Always knew I'd be able to find something pretty easily, so I held off on finding a job quickly.

That'd be after I had my daughter. Stayed home for a year.

Right now would be the second longest time frame.
