What stops you from believing in Evolution?

show me then. u may make a believer out of me tonight.

What are you looking for?

If you want to see a single cell turn into a complex organism, IE Bacteria turning into monkeys or w.e, then you won't. It takes too long for a person to record or witness. You could live a thousand years and not see it. There is plenty of fossil evidence and anatomical structural evidence to say yes it has happened.

When your the creator, nothing is impossible. God can speak through His creation, wether it be upon Mt. Sinai or a burning bush or a donkey or a human being. He is GOD! If He wanted He could make your computer talk to you right now. But of course He will not because in these last days He has spoken to us through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Do you know Him?

why is God a he?

No you have a connection based on belief, the same way some people who watch movies can feel a connection to fictional characters, the same way children cry when a cartoon dies in a Disney movie. The same way you can't put a book down or turn off a video game because you become part of it. There's nothing magical, just the human emotional system attaching itself to something that shows or possesses similar qualities. You don't feel Jesus you feel emotion and try to attach it to what you believe in.

Couldnt have said it better myself.

we have not seen macro evolution yet though. It's still a theory not a law.

Until it becomes scientific law i.e. gravity, then i disbelieve.

It is often believe the science flows from idea to hypothesis to theory and then to law. This is based on the common usage of theory in everyday language. Generally it is used to mean an idea or guess. In science a theory means 'law' as you seem to use the term. In science once an idea becomes a theory it becomes the accepted explanation of a set of facts and phenomenon. It does this through the gathering of evidence and the test of the theory against that evidence. For instance Gravity you mention as a law is in fact a theory. (General Relativity) You might say well I can 'see' gravity'. But the biologist replies I can 'see' evolution working everywhere I look.

Often a theory start with a simple bedrock idea

Gravity - Objects with mass will attract each other.

Evolution - Overtime variations at the genetic level within a population will increase (poorly worded but close)

From these simple beginnings we develop new ideas and even theories. Gravity leads to the Big Bang for instance but also explains why we the moon orbits the earth. The basic ideas in evolution lead to Natural selection and Common Descent. In fact it leads to Macro Evolution which means evolution above the species level. Since we have several observed events of speciation we have seen macro Evolution. Creationist tend to like to redefine Macro Evolution. Each time we find something that meets their definition they simply move the goal post a little farther back.

So just remember the next time you take a flight. Its just a theory that the plane will fly.
