all old artist... PPL like new... J Cole next year will be big

ok but where's the album? his hype built. had a music video has the "blow up" song playing on the radio but i don't have a release date or even him making appearances. the only reason i'm thinking he won't be around is because no promotion. all internet buzz and you know where internet buzz goes. fuckin nowhere because the same people posting that he's the next best thing are the same people who download the album and don't pay for it, thus not supporting him besides with just words

White ppl dont care about TI just cuz the nigga is light skin that dont mean they like him.... And they only liked him that time because they had their token white boy... Justin Timberlake.... And their favorite victim.... Rihanna.... TI is not as big as you want him to be only reason TI career was successful because of consistency but how u gonna be consistent when ur absent from the game for damn near 2 years? and when u did come home u made absolutely no noise?....

I could careless how big tip is. I'm still buying Rah Digga & BCC cds so how big you are doesn't effect me. I just have the feeling dude will be able to make some money off sales. if he doesn't, it's not on me. you act like tip did something to you. I don't know what dude will do once his album is released & neither do you. I just explained why I thought he would do something. The dude may never go platinum again, but I believe he will go gold. You're a little too serious on this topic for me so I'll end it now. He won't go gold...you happy now, damn.

Internet Buzz? PPL know J Cole off of the internet and his buzz JUST started to build truth be told... PPL are just getting familiar with The Warm Up and Come Up mixtapes.... If he was to drop an album soon then he would be kidding himself... The BET Hip Hop awards was his first real hello to the world now he has to grow from there.... He's building a fanbase along with his Buzz thats why he will have longevity....

so when do you think would be a good time for him to drop? BTW im not hating on him but there's been way too many promising rappers that let their time pass

Styles P aint my daddy so i dont give a fuck if thats his friend... And we all know Ross strength is his ear for beats and having the perfect guest on the hook... Embrace his strengths...
True Lil sis but part of being a complete artist is being able to find the best production and catchiest hooks.

We criticize the portly genius for being talented enough to do what 75% of these rappers cant do!
!

His strengths are no less valuable than Nas storytelling, JayZs complexity, Tupacs emotion, or Emenims lyrical prowess.

I salute the chubby champ because he gives love to NY and I got fam' back east that need that love.

Late 1st Quarter or Early 2nd Quarter next year... He has to let all the "Wayne's coming home/Nicki Minaj/ Kanye" buzz die down a lil before all the attention could be on him.... But he's dropping a mixtape this year so he should follow that up with a street single and strong Main single then drop his album....

so he has to wait til they all stop buzzing for him to sell? shit kanye changed his released date to the same day nicki minaj's album comes out and she didn't move her date. what if something comes up in the 1st quarter does she have to wait til summer?

The name of this thread is called RAPPERS WHO WONT BE AROUND NEXT YEAR.... if a nigga got 11 months how he gonna be around next year when this year almost up? Get ya tail from between your legs and debate like a man... LOL @ im too serious... I'm just stating whats real TI was never a huge star he had his time in the spot light but he's more of a B List Hip Hop Star.... *shrugs* nothing personal because i could careless about TI...

There you go with the bs. I'll hold back because my mom taught me to respect women. T.I. was never a huge star? what world do you live in? you may not like the dude, but he was & is still a household name. Dude has been out since 2001 with his first release. Apparently, you don't like dude & I stated in another thread how I respect your opinion on not liking Trap Muzik. However, to not acknowledge the fact dude was one of the hottest out in 2008 right before he went to jail is crazy. He will be around next year because he will have some shit made before he goes in.

he doesn't need a serious hit. he has enough fans to go gold off whatever he puts out which will give him time for another album. tip has been in the game for a sec. I'm not saying he'll be double plat again, but he will go no less than gold with his next album.

Yeah, T.I. can just go gold off of his name. I don't see him going anywhere for a while.

It's a shame that he just turned 30 and is going back in.

I think B.O.B. is here for a while and may be able to have at least half the career that Outkast had

Its sad cause both Nipsey and Jay Rock are nice. Im from the south but I grew up on that west coast ride out music and these cats in my views should be getting more love instead of them wack ass Lil B niggas And Clai Swag BS. Shit my nigga we used to rock that Pharcyde, Divine Styler, The Coup, Souls OF Mischeve, Del real west coast MC"s. Not to mention one of my favorite groups tha Alkaholiks i hate the fact the west is not being promoted like it should. I might be older than you but them cats plus NWA and Cube of course was music of choice when i was younger.

Damn family you just named my DNA.

Some of them bruthas I have been in the same room with and breathed the same air.

From Tash to Casual to Boots, I done been up under all them niccas, by father and both my uncles is sound engineers and my my uncle Ronnie play bass,
I remember Xzibit before he even got big that was the greatest nicca ever, i would have bet my mortgage he was the best back then, but it is what it is.

Death Row scared alot of industry people, and Pacs death crippled us too, we wont ever be back on top like we were
but I tell pople all the time that we have the best underground scene, from Dago in Cali, to Salem in Oregon, to Seattle in Washigton,
its strong but we dont get that much national spotlight...now Im sad kinda.

2008 was his Hottest Year but that was also LIL WAYNE's year so TI was still a B List Hip Hop Star.... And like i said i dont care enough about TI to like him or not like Him.... I'm just stating the real... And what ever he drops now aint gonna be enough to hold him down for all that time... And if he had a hit he would've dropped it already... nothing personal as i stated before thats just the way i see it... And Trap Musik was trash....

so only one rapper can be hot per year...stop playing...I guess time will tell whether he'll be gone or not

His best album was trash? I'm confused

And T.I. went gold in his first week in '06 so technically that might've been his biggest year with King dropping.

I wouldn't say T.I. was a B-list rapper, that's crazy talk. Before Carter III, Weezy never went multi-plat. T.I. was a bigger artist than Weezy for a longer period of time
