I dont keep up with numbers like that but it seems like Ross did more numbers than Jeezy. if anything he has a bigger fanbase as of now.

Ross has a following, Jeezy has a following, Ne-Yo made noise wit the ghetto bitches and The Roots will always have a cult following and will sale nearly the same amount all the time so they're consistent.

Jay was busy with his Flop-A-Fella artists flopping all over the place when he became Def Jam president.

I think when you look at Jay-z legacy, you have to look at it relative to other labels (Columbia, Warner Bros, Interscope, Atlantic,etc) at the time and see what they were doing. Just like any other label he had success and failures, not every artist is gonna go platinum or gold (Lady Sovereign, Roots, Ghostface,Young Gunz,etc) but he balanced that out with (Jeezy,Ross, Rihana, etc). Who beside TI did Atlantic put out during that time, who did Warner Bros put out, and so on.

Jigger brought some supreme talent to that label, all those artists have sold Gold or better on their projects.

....since then I can't think of anybody they signed that's worth mention....they should have signed yellowdog or whatever his name is and those Travis kids.

He split with Dame & Biggs to become president

He crushed DMX spirit
He broke Beanie Sigels heart
He forced LL Cool J into retirement

Method Man, Beanie Sigel, & Freeway didnt get the proper promotion for their projects and the Roc-A-Fella roster artists were pretty much forgotten.

Jigger's legacy at Def Jam will be known more for the R&B with Rihanna and Neo than for the HipHop contributions.
