I seriously think Dre got some self hate issues. Im not the type to say that about other black ppl but he be on some weird shit even do i love his music.

Got like 6-8 babymamas, all black, and he doesn't take care of none of those kids. He got with 1 white woman and he's been loyal to her for over 10 years, got kids and with them he's resonsible.

Dre literally takes order from Jimmy Iovine. I mean he sold his shares to Interscope so Dre is like Jimmy's toy soldier.

Dre don't really fuck with none of the artist he signed or worked with except that 1 white boy. Bailed on his long time friends and artist who saved him back in the day like Cube and Snoop and even Game and somewhat 50 but with Em he came through instantly with beats and all.

i could go on and on..

@musicology1985

Um nigga did u forget Snoop? Did u forget NWA? 2pac? They all went through hella shit when they first came out if not more cuz that's when Hip-Hop grew and white people didn't understand hip-hop.

Em got some racial stuff thrown against him, but lets not forget that he threw racial stuff out there too on that tape. Other than that it was mostly gay's who got @ him.

U cant say that nobody went thru as much as shit as Em at that time cuz they got shit worse. Even politicians came at these niggas heads and shit.

N.W.A had the F.B.I and the goverment on their ass along with the police and the censors

Snoop had a murder trial that could have cost him his career, and Senate meetings about his lyrical content

Tupac had the C.I.A in his business from birth just based off his last name and Tipper Gore and C, Deloris Tucker tryin' to censor him..

Emenim aint been through shit, he just insulted some fags and then became a fag after they pressured him.

@H Rap

Emenim aint been through shit, he just insulted some fags and then became a fag after they pressured him.

This is true. It was nothing life or freedom threatening that he had to endure like the others, but it was the only major protests against a mainstream rapper during that time. That's all I'm saying.

EM did blow it out of proportion but that's the benefit of white privilege & I admitted that in my first post.

Nobody is disputing this. Posters been building on this inside the forum. But again, all of this occurred during the late 80's to mid 90's and was not going in 99-02.

Black Rap artists still have to deal with and dodge the hip hop police, but there are no longer protests against mainstream rappers because they have all fallen in line except for PAC, who is no longer here.

For a rapper who has said so many gay slurs, he sure has done a lot of gay things himself.

LOL wasn't that my point? I just said all that. @musicology1985 brought up Em.

What do you mean I brought up EM. This thread is about him. And again, my point still stands that this was all done in the late 80's to mid 90's. During 99-02, the protests were not directed at the mainstream blacks because by that time, they all toed the company line and still do.

Okay i see your point. But you can kinda say DMX though also right?

No, I don't see the correlation. What protests did X endure?

What do you mean by Em not abondoning Detroit though?

I already told you. He put on the most black Detroit artists since Barry Gordy and still provides for them today, as well as those not signed directly to his label, and nor did he leave Southeast MI when many other blacks of his bracket did.

Many people complain about ATL over-saturation on the airwaves, but blacks from the Midwest, California and Tri State put the system together for them to do so. EM did not do this. He has stuck to his guns as far as his region is concerned.

Okay i see your point. But you can kinda say DMX though also right? I mean Em was bigger than X by 2000 but still he was a big figure who got alot thrown at him. But i see your point.

What do you mean by Em not abondoning Detroit though? In what way? I sure as hell doubt that Em does more for his neighborhood than the average black rapper. I've yet to see Em walk to his old hood.

I was just agreeing with your previous post, Im kinda distracted.

Lebitch james cried racism to hide the fact that he bitched out and didnt man up and people called him out on it.

his only retort was "racism."

im not gonna speak on marshall. I dont believe he is. in my heart of hearts.

I agree with this. Both cried racism over bullshit.

@spectacle

I think dude came up with EM and got beef wit em' now. Shit happens alot. I guess it should be called the Jaz O effect.

Only difference is, EM put way more people on in Detroit and Jay has never put anybody on IN Brooklyn (no, Bleek had success during Dame's time, not Jays.) Also, EM put cats from Jay's own city outside of BK on (50 Cent.) Something that Jay hasn't done, unless you count NaS who was already established.

em was asked a question and answered... and hes right.... he wasnt taken seriously as a rapper, was bullied cause he was white in a black artform and black area of the country... he wasnt complaining u can tell by his tone.... he was just answering truthfully....

now when he said he was attacked by the media and all for being white he was right also... its because he was the biggest artist in the U.S. at the time and being white made him a target in white america.... he wasnt complaining that other black rappers didnt catch shit for content he was stating why he was the one to catch flack...

and as far as the racist tapes... that shit was fucked up of him to record but he was an angry teenager.... angry teenagers do dumb shit.... he lashed out at people who were causing his problems... it was a racist act but doesnt make the man a racist... his best friend was black.... hes made multiple black men millionaires and/or put them on in this rap game..... i mean if you look at the situation from an unbiased angle its kind of obvious he isnt a racist... wouldnt all of the black rappers around him either diss him or at least not associate themselves with him? i mean at the end of the day this world would be a sad place if we were all held to our mistakes we made out of emotion, anger and immaturity as teens

i can understand if black posters still have problems and dont want to give the dude a pass... after all im white so the shit did not effect me.... i just feel like sometimes we let our emotions and pride get in the way of seeing things for what they really are... every person makes mistakes and hurts people from the day they are born til the day they die... we as people tend to say the dumbest shit and do the dumbest things when we are adolescents for obvious reasons... im sure he didnt mean for those tapes to see the light of day or offend anyone.... i compare it to someone having convos with friends of the same race about other races which im sure everyone has done at some point in their life.... doesnt make it right, but thus is life

He made a mistake and apologized publicly who can say they never ever made a mistake in their life time it's just human nature to make mistakes but he key is learning from them it's silly to be judgemental when life is based on making mistakes since humans aren't perfect

Why hold a grudge over a Freestyle he recorded in 1988 cos his girlfriend cheated on him? is iot so hard to forgive someone for messing up and letting their emotions get the better of them?

Why look at Foolish Pride rather then focus on the money Eminem donates to charities and help's his community in Detroit?

Lebron didn't have to cry Racism, the racist-Cavs Owner and racist CAVS fans did so for him when burning his Jersey, and playing The Entitlement Card like Eminem played in this interview here.

I like Jesse Jackson's take on it, which exposes all potential stealth-racists who talk greezee at Lebron:

Lets bet that Dan Gilbert would have never never ever wrote that type of letter to the Caucasoid Quicken Loan CEO, Bill Emerson, had he decided to bolt to Priceline.com upon fulfilling his contract, July 1st...

Lebron wasn't going through racism and I see no signs of it because James was treated as well as possible. And Messy Jesse was just utilizing the opportunity to grab media attention and possibly, profit. He been doing this hustle since MLK died.
