Shut your azz up and stop playing Victim. Every artist in Hip Hop had to make their way Black White, or Latino. It was Black Artists who protested the Grammy's where were the Latino's Mafucca? Where were the White's Mafucca's? We paved the way for you mafuccas, don't come up in here like we were\are the problem. It was Black Artists FROM NY who put their lives on the line to tour in dangerous places like Cali, and Detroit all so Whites, Asians and Latino's can sit here and LIE on BLACKS. You muthafuccas are without a conscience.

Em is doing that shit right now FUCK BOY. He just said there were BLACK artists using anti-gay slurs and profanity etc so, all he is doing is what they are doing. Like I said YOU muthafuccas without a consience word life.

U mad doggie? The truth makes cats mad when they cant handle it.

As far as your questions IDK ask the labels who refused to sign white or latino MC's cause they didnt think they were any good despite there prolly dope artist that never seen the light of day. With regards to the Grammys Are you talking with regards to White/Latino Mc's or people in general? Latinos protested till they got there own grammy awards.. Whites well u already know the deal... So are you saying basically that other races have no places in hip-hop cause they didnt put there lives on the line (which is incorrect if you knew the contributions of Latinos in hip-hop).

LMAO!!! The problem is, you are in here lying because, that's what your kind does. What latinos weren't good enough to get signed? Curious George, Fat Joe, Beat Nutz? Latino's been getting their Burn in Hip Hop. They just aint been at the forefront of the fight. Here you are on Hip Hop board and don't know of the HISTORICAL Grammy protest lead by P.E.? Right so, Latino's protested to get their OWN grammy's while Black ARTISTS protested to get ALL who were involved in HIP HOP their FARE share. You still don't see it and that's the problem. You muthafuccas will sit and MAKE Blacks the problem when it's you who are the problem. And Latinos's offered little to nothing in the Areas of MCing and HIp HOP Music. Graf, and Breaking are totally different subject alltogether. Latino's and WHITES weren't risking their lives to tour whole in the wall venues, like the early pioneers were NO.

The very fact that recovery has sold more than just about every other hip-hop album released this year put together makes me wanna say EM SHUT THE FUCK UP. How you reap all the benefits of being a WHITE hip-hop artist and then complain because black ppl not giving u the "respect" u think u deserve. Em need to sit his corny ass down some where.

STFU!!! If, you haven't at least done half of your home work on what Whites in Music have done to Blues, Jazz, Rock and Roll and now are attempting with Hip Hop, you are in no position to offer up any commentary of WORTH.
ha ha ha, cute. thanks for showing us the whining me was talking about!

that's because you dont' see people whining, for sure, as you're just reading a bunch of truth-telling for sure. I've only read two dishonest posts so far, as the rest have been based on facts, truths, and realities since The Marshall Mathers LP.

Yes this is true, we are all racists. But there's a difference between being racist in your own personal Life inside your own personal home, versus that very moment, you decide to get up/leave your Home and go effect society with your Racist mindset...like the deceit-mongers at 60 Minutes did, by even bringing up some racism nonsense that Eminem factually hasn't faced, since 2002 days.

He's been living high-on-the-hog, and will do so, for many decades to come...thanks to him switching his style up and catering to lilli-white Suburbia's affluent and dysfunctional demographic;

He has no complaint, and CBS should feel ashamed for assisting another White American with playing *The Entitlement Card* when they helped Em pretend, a need to talk about something he's 8-years removed from.
ha ha ha, cute. thanks for showing us the whining i was talking about!

I can't name one black rapper who has sold millions calling people faggots, who is these black rappers he is talking about? I can't believe this dude has the nerve tryna play that race shit, when his has benefited him more than anyone else, if it's so tough being white why do you give up all the success that comes with it.

do you not hear how often the word "faggot" is used in rap music? Em may use it more than most but he damn sure ain't the only person to call somebody a faggot on record that sells millions

whining = sitting on 60 Minutes complaining about a way you used to be treated, as in, are no longer treated that way AND haven't been for 8+ years.

I can find solace in knowing 'that you know' that I know damn well that you know you are fooling no one when ignore the above reality about Eminem.

Again he was asked a question of what he felt at the time meaning how he felt in 2000-2002 or how he felt as a white mc coming up (fuck race any mc black white etc can relate to having doubters,skeptics etc).. If answering that question truthfully as whining or complaining on the net no wonder mcs are scared to be honest in interviews. Further proof that the net when it comes hiphop really aint shit and y i stop fucking with boards full of yougins who dont know shit, whiteboys pretending to be black, and fake huey newtons...

in your eyes...when Blacks whine about Race, it's called crying wolf ...but when Whites like Eminem cry, about Race, then it's just:

called, yall's Country!
no dumb dumb, whining over anderson "cia" cooper doing a race propaganda piece on 60 minutes is just, well it's stupid. you can't have racism and division without race. you want to hold on to so much then except it for what it is and stop whining over it. living by the concept of race doesn't allow for you to do much of anything else except whine, point the finger, play the victim, get angry etc. I'm just tired o whining aspect that's all. funny i have said similar things in other threads and you remained quite. yet when it's about em you want to go back and forth. Oh, that's right, you're a racist. lmao Oh no correction, you can't be racist because you didn't create the system of race, you're just a victim of it right? is that it? ;)

alot of bs has come from this country, that don't mean i have to abide by it. sh1t i barely abide by it's laws i'm damn sure not about to abide by some dumb old race system. my last thing is hip hop never gave a f@ck about shows like 60 minutes. rappers keep going on there so i accept it but those devils don't give a f@ck about u!

also in my eyes i dont see people based off race, get it?

I blame all this on Dre. He the one who brought this wigger infiltrator to the culture. For that Dre should never be forgiven. I mean, how do you go from being a producer of a Legendary Black Political Socially conscious Group to signing a white Racist rapper???

If em said "i didn't care about race because i knew eventually id outsell all black rappers even if i did make racist tapes"...em haters would still be complaining...

Yeah this interview was some bullshit about old topics and a clever way for Em to use reverse racism to garner sympathy.

Yes he was protested against, but his lyrics were so extreme and he became so big that there was a major public backlash. It is also true that no other popular artists went through what he did from 99-02, but he had massive success to offset that so there is no reason to complain today outside of a pity party.

Alright, a couple of points.

1. Jimmy Iovine and Dre are responsible for putting EM on. However, Jimmy Iovine put Tupac on as well. One sold 75 Million (PAC), the other sold 80 million (Em.) So you just have to take it for what it is.

2. I want some proof to back up these Jim Burwell claims. I don't doubt that Em is cordial with the Klan because most whites in pivotal positions get down with those kinds of groups for support in the streets, politics and penal system.

3. I know a lot of people are upset with his contributions, but the man has contributed. He has stayed true to his roots and never gave up on a region that many successful blacks gave up on (Detroit.) Shit, we got more Detroiters contributing to Atlanta's infrastructure than the one that they come from themselves. The same can be said about the whole Midwest. And the contributions of Midwesterners is the major factor on how ATL came up. The same kind of people who built Motown went on to build LaFace. The East Coast and West Coast are now going through the same thing.

So I appreciate what he did do, but I'm not ignorant to his flexing of white privilege either.

It is what it is.

@its over: 2012!

that's been going on since the mid-80's though, playa,

No it's been going on since around the time that Motown left. LOOK, EMIMEN PUT MORE BLACK DETROIT ARTISTS ON THAN ANYBODY SINCE BARRY GORDY. YES, IT'S TRUE. BLACK PEOPLE ABANDONED BLACK PEOPLE AND THIS IS WHERE A GREAT PERCENTAGE OF THE TALENT IS AT. WE CAN'T DO OUR OWN THING BECAUSE OUR FOREFATHERS DIDN'T CARVE A LANE AND THE ONES THAT THEY DID HAVE WERE GIVEN UP.

EM IS NOT THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM IN RAP MUSIC. THE SAME THING IS GOING ON IN NEW YORK AND LA NOW.

and I don't think it's reflective of Eminem abandoning that E. 7 Mile Rd Aura that birthed him...in order to cater to the West Bloomfield and South-Troy Pop Cultured, sitting in their quarter-million dollar homes/calling suicide hotlines from the furthest corners of their big, walk-in closets.

See this is a lame excuse now. Many blacks live in the surrounding suburbs of Detroit. That's why Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles are so successful; the whole region is thoroughly incorporated and considered LA OR ATL OR NY.

I don't see the point in complaining about EM when he does more for Detroit's rap scene than blacks want to do.

Em grew up as white trash. But white's have a system in place that if you do make it you will be elevated past your trashy roots while maintaining the right to speak on that. Which is what happened with Cooper (a true blue-blood.)

@CirocObama

Um nigga did u forget Snoop? Did u forget NWA? 2pac? They all went through hella shit when they first came out if not more cuz that's when Hip-Hop grew and white people didn't understand hip-hop.

That was in the late 80's to mid 90's. EM was the only mainstream target in the early 00's.

Em got some racial stuff thrown against him, but lets not forget that he threw racial stuff out there too on that tape. Other than that it was mostly gay's who got @ him.

This is true. I never denied any of this and nor do I believe that EM had to deal with racism. Black's do what we do as a self defense mechanism to protect the culture because of past experiences. Its not racism. Yet even still, EM NEVER ABANDONED DETROIT LIKE OTHER BLACKS IN HIS POSITION HAVE.

U cant say that nobody went thru as much as shit as Em at that time cuz they got shit worse. Even politicians came at these niggas heads and shit.

Nobody went through what EM went through 99-02 in the mainstream.

AND AGAIN, YOUR DRE EXAMPLE JUST PROVES MY POINT. BLACKS ABANDON BLACKS. That is the real problem.
