i dont relate how you guys are so focused on mainstream music still to this day. who really limits themselves to mainstream artists in this internet age? you can appreciate music and check it out so easily from mainstream to underground to international. i think artist like currency, knaan, and certain bay area artists should also be mentioned when you talk about resurgence of lyricism. and yeah nas always should be mentioned when you talk about lyricism since he's still active.

Good Music- Ye, Common,Pusha, Cyhi
Shady - Em, Slaughterhouse
Roc Nation - Jay, Cole, and Jay E
MMG - Ross, Wale, and Meek

PS Kendrick Lamar too

It's pretty fucking obvious that lyricism is coming back to the game and i truly believe within the next 2-3 we will have a bunch of classic albums since the the late 90s. I know it's a lot of pop r and b sounding rappers at the forefront right now, but it's clearly some real rap bubbling beneath the surface right now. The game is ready to be DMXed!

Its definetly looking better then it has in years

Gibbs, Curren$y, Pill, KRIT, Random Axe, Skyzoo just to name a few more.
