If I were to kill me or my brother they sure as hell would be celebrating so I feel no sadness when I hear news of cops getting killed.

This is most accurate actually...my cousin was killed by PG Police last August...any time I hear of a cops death I literally feel nothing towards them...nothing about celebrating or screaming "yeah fuck them pigs" comes to mind at all...

How am I caping for the cop? Show me the part of my post where I said something supportive or even positive about this cop or cops in general. I don't really care that much about this cop dying. Like dude said, people die everyday, so it's not really in me to be all that emotionally invested in the death of someone I don't know.

My point was that if he didn't care about the cop dying, say that and leave it there. However, throwing out some bullshit statistic that has nothing to do with the case at hand is stupid. And the fact that the people on this site don't understand that shows how incapable of critical thinking a lot of people on this site are. Cops basically do the bullshit they do because they follow the same simple minded logic tree you dudes follow. "I arrested a lot of black dudes doing something the other day ---> All black dudes should be harassed and treated as criminals." That is no different than "Some cops are out there abusing black dudes right now as weak speak ---> so this cop's death is justified." They are are both stupid lines of thought. Ya'll can see that for the first example but seem incapable of understanding for the second. I don't like or dislike cops. I accept them for what they are. I do dislike stupidity though, which is why I call it out when I see it.

It's not different, the fact that you say it is, is evidence of your bias. The facts are not every cop out there is shooting brothas down in the street, so death sentences for everyone wearing a shield is not something that is justified.

Don't get me wrong, just because every cop isn't one that is killing innocent people doesn't mean they are innocent. I don't think there are very many "good" cops out there. That doesn't change the fact that Cop A killing an innocent black man in Cleveland is not a valid reason for why it's ok that Cop B was killed in DC.

To put it briefly, calling it a "bullshit statistic" was a dead giveaway.

As to why it's different -

Which one is supposed to be professionals ?

Which one is payed by the other to uphold law ?

Which one started the negative attitude and actions against the other, gets away with it, and is most likely to continue the same shit regardless of the actions of ther one ?

Personally, I care when police get shot. But not any more or less than when a random person I don't know gets shot. The fact that it's a cop doesn't make me MORE outraged because it was a cop. And it also doesn't make me HAPPY because it was a cop.
