Was the Roc A Fella 02-03 label roster the greatest of all time?

Nah, not of all time, though it was a very good one.

Deathrow, Wu-Tang and G-Unit have had better overall rosters. Even Bad Boy with Puffy, Mase, Biggie, LOX, Lil Kim, and others would have beat that lineup.

No Way Out is definitely a classic, even if Biggie wrote a lot of that album, Puffy showed he could rap.

From 2003 till about 2005, and I dare say on to 2007, G-Unit to me was releasing better music then Rocafella, though Jay-Z is in my top 2. From mixtapes to albums, G-Unit's run impressed me more, especially if we're talking about the 2002-2003 Roc roster. Young Buck, Game, 50, Banks, and even Yayo were dropping lots of fire on plenty of albums. Rocafella was dropping lots of nice music too but I preferred G-Unit's music during their run.

Though I like Dipset, Cam and Kanye overall, G-Unit from 2003-2006 or 2007 overall had the more impressive run and sales wise the impact was bigger as well.

The unit better than the Roc? Never

Not overall, but the 2002-2003 Roc doesn't beat G-unit's roster at its prime. The freestyles G-Unit used to drop were fucking unbelievable, on top of all the tracks they were dropping, it's easy to say G-Unit was getting more play in the streets and worldwide then Rocafella was for about four, five years.

What's funny is MOP went from Rocafella to GUnit around that time

Death row in the mid 90's woulda gave them a run for their money. Had Pac AND Snoop in their primes at the same time. That's like Nas and Big both being on Bad boy. Then you had K-Ci and Jo Jo, Dogg Pound, lady of Rage who is one of the best female lyricist ever, then Dr Dre even tho he was on the way out.. I mean come on now.

this... How aren't you gonna mention NATE tho?

Deathrow dropped a lot more classics than ROC.

Young Buck first two albums are far better than any that freeway put out, much less chris.
