This is one of the reasons I think Americans are so trigger happy and so pro-War. Every American experience with War in this century has always been "someone and/or someone else gets fucked up". I had a German teacher who showed me a faded, black and white picture of a little blonde girl, maybe 4 or 5 years old. He said they lived in Hamburg during World War II and when the Allies bombed his town, his family ran to the basement for shelter but homegirl ran out 'cause she forgot her doll. They never saw her again. Not even a body. Half the town was burnt in a firestorm.
