The author of this article forgets that there was black outrage over those Addidas with shackles and niggas are definitely not checking for Mitt Romney, regardless of how many Young Money endorsements he gets.

There IS consolidarity in Black communities, though not always genuine and persistant. However, the loud angry individual is often times erratic, unstable, and many times full of hypocrises.

The rapper who said "LORD GIVE ME A SIGN" was/is a crackhead. The rapper who said "And still I see no changes, all I see is racist faces" was last seen kicking the dogshit out of a nigga in a casino. The rapper who said "George Bush doesn't care about Black people" and "when he get on, he'll leave your ass for a white girl" apologized to Bush and... you get the picture.

The angry Black man made it hard for his descendant, the black man with a reason to be angry, to be taken seriously. NIGGAS don't wanna listen to Lupe Fiasco or Big KRIT because of understandable cynicism. They out here like "shutup nigga stop hatin get money u mad u mad" instead of "that nigga got a point, we need to get our shit together and support one another".

I'm employed. Unhappily married with children. Able to shelter my brother and his family during their personal hard times. Life is good. Y b mad?

All the angry black men have either assassinated, thrown in jail, or slienced. The black men we see in the music business now depict everything negative stereotype on african americans there are. Sex crazed, ignorant, flashy, homosexual, illiterate etc...The corporations make sure they keep ateast one ignorant nigga on tv for young black kids to idolize. While all the anti-establishment figures are nowhere to be seen. Its called brainwashing

lol @ unhappily married.

The black man does have a right to be angry, but he should be angry with himself too, for allowing too many outside forces to dictate what we do in our communities.

Cops are shooting unarmed black men everyday and gettin off in the court systems. The problems with black america extend past this generation. But some things we don't have control over.

def sometimes it just life and we all know she can be a bitch sometimes ... smh :(

A culmination of factors. Being the leader of the free world is possible. People see more opportunities instead of how they used to see limitations. Plus, angry people arent happy or fun to be around. Just bein real, negative people dont like it but who cares what they say.

C'mon b. If you don't claim any responsibility for your community and don't care about anything outside of your household, then of course you don't have shit to be mad about. But there are alot teachers, politicians, police, preachers, and other agents of ignorance fucking up and they get away with it cause everyone is only looking out for self.

I think people understand you cant make everybody do just as you would like or want. This argument looks to me like"dont move foward because you have to stay back like other anonymous people. Nobody trippin on that. But its a sunny day in Ga and im out. Lovin it.

Instead of the angry black man approach, I think the best option is to inform our youth and peers on not spending money on BS (at least not blow a large portion of your $ on it) and putting more money into ownership and also teaching our youth to become more interested in politics.

Blacks only own 1% of the wealth in this country, but we make up 12-13% of the country, such a damn shame.

Also, more blacks in politics will potentially prevent a lot of these BS laws and policies that are still biased against minorities

True

The "real nigga goon affiliated" image is plaguing urban America. Niggas allow labels to stop them from too much in life. We also judge more than we learn from each other.

They died off or had babies with a non black woman. Remember the 5 %ers? The ones that claim that will enlighten the masses that lurked in the inner cities in the 80s and 90s? They long gone, along with most of the other angry black men that harped on Malcolm X's pre-Mecca pilgrimage message. They dying off with the (openly) white racists.

Plus most black folk can do white people shit and not get persecuted in any way or form in 2012. Was a totally different story back in 2002 when black folk had to stay in one lane and do "black people shit."

Once the likes of Wayne, Cudi, and Kanye made that outgoing shit cool, everyone followed.
