yea, he's depressed and got some daddy issues but clearly its not to be taken completely serious. the sacrilegious and crazy stuff is intended to get a rise outta people, nothing more. all this stuff's been done before. regardless of his content, the kid's talented. his production's pretty brilliant-that's the biggest draw to me. i was a big fan of bastard and this one-while not quite as good, has grown on me something serious too.

Imo the comparisons in the two groups come from the fact that they both have a left of center approach or presentation with their music and visuals ....wutang with the whole kungfu influence and of with the whole skateboard influnce ...those to things traditionally dont run hand n hand with hiphop ....then of course the obvious size of the group and different styles with each one ...also the group basically being a one main producer driven crew... i realize other cats in the group produce as well but tyler is akin to rza in the fact that he is the organizer and seems to be creatively bringing something to every group members project ...and lastly the unique sound each group has ...almost a signature sound ..especially when tyler does the track ...thats what i think love was getting at...

These Odd Future cats are a prime example of why a lot of people feel that records labels are actually trying to destroy hip hop.

I mean , you got an entire group of rappers and out of all of them the one who gets the most shine, tv time and publicity is the one that raps about raping pregnant bitches?

He do get most of the shine..it s not like its by much though. This nigga barely in the mainstream attention. Purely internet right now. He definitely isnt the best spitter in the group I agree with that, but I disagree with anyone pushing anything..these niggas dictate what they wanna do, no one else does it for them. It isnt like they're on interscope or atlantic, these niggas got their business straight

i never understood why people gave so much energy to music or artists they "don't" like, these dudes can rap, but thats not saying much, everybody can rap nowdays, on the topic about what tyler raps about or whatever, he's way out there on purpose thats his gimmick, if you don't like it don't listen, i've only heard him rap like 3 times.
