When Wutang first came out with '36 chambers', a lot of 'old heads' at the time HATED it. I used to get in debates for days trying to defend how I liked Wutang Clan and people telling me it was "garbage" and "yelling" and "that's not hiphop". Remember Ol' Dirty Bastard always saying "Wutang is for the children!"... that's because the young kids were embracing it as something new and different.

I think that is what Wolf Gang is trying to do... find a new lane different than the over 30 rappers like Jay Z / Nas / Rick Ross, etc. who dominate the charts.

A rapper rhyming about killing his enemies or a person playing Call of Duty is male-on-male violence, it's hyper- aggressive masculine posturing and bravado.

A rapper rhyming about raping women, or a person masturbating to rape-porn is a sick freak and a coward who seeks to dominate a woman because she is the weaker of the sexes, male-on-female violence is for weirdos.

I'm all for violent lyrics and warfare when necessary but as a man I can't condone or support violence against women and children.

by the way this album is pretty solid ...obviously some of these tracks are catered to a younger audience with the emphasis on rebeling agaisnt parents, schools and talk of rape and things that are suppose to be shocking and controversial ...the thing is if youve listened to music or just seen things in life in general the content that tyler uses to spark controversy isn't all that shocking ...now to cats that are 12-19 yeah it may be... so in those regards im unimpressed and can do without ....now as far as the lyricism, prodcution and concept goes i have grown to give dude a lot more credit than i did initially ..his production is dope and they have a signature sound in the same way that a wu-tang or a mobb deep did back in the 90's which is one of the things i think people refer to when bringing those comparisons up ...
