Take away all the gimmicks and all the hidden agendas, and Pac comes out on top against JayZ every time.

Songwriting, definitely.

Bar for bar, hell no

Pac is better at everything. Y'all just not listening hard enough. Plus Jay in 2013 is crazy trash, so that bar for bar doesn't hold anymore. He's straight up ruining his legacy with each new release. Dude is past playing for the wizards.

I see cats really feeling good about themselves becuz Pac winning.. I hope they carry the momentum thru life

I was thinkin' the same thing. Niggas goin' on like their country won the World Cup

Pac was always gonna win, though...You could put Jay against Flava Flav and he'd still struggle on the IC

In the past few years, I saw Jay-Z vs Biggie threads(acceptable) JayZ vs NAS ( acceptable). But unless your talking about who technically was a better rapper(Jay IMHO), 2pac cant be compared to Jayz AT ALL. 2pacs legacy is way beyond Jayz. And Jayz Is my fav rapper, but example: I saw pieces of 2pac art/graffiti in every country I went( And im already not from the US) while people hardly even remember jayz's biggest hit Hard Knock Life. For Americans it might be comparable i think. But when i think about the ninties, No one around here would have doubt that it always was 2pac, Biggie, Nas, Wutang. Jayz came by pretty close, but I swear I almost never heard people saying JAYZ is the King of Hiphop, not untill Black Album came out. Even though 2pac had his flaws, people see him as the spiritual hiphop version of Bob Marley. I mean, when I see more people below 15 AND above 40plus white middle class women singing/ tryna rap the BP3 New York track than realhiphopheads do. Like any real hiphopfans on this fucking forum ever puts on Jayz's New York anyway, but if you ask the same thing about To live and Die in LA?

Jayz lost.

the self importance of this post is staggering

a whole bunch of I's and Me's. just keep it at what YOU think and stop tryna make it some general consensus or fact. Your life story/origin is irrelevant

Yo who have y'all been having Jay go up against to where he's winless in this shit?

Y'all hating knows no fucking bounds.
