im not gonna try to go to a big l vs pac thread because earlier u seen in my post l aint even in my top 10. i dont just put dead rappers on my goat list. i would do a pun vs l thread to see who is more worthy of being compared to legends. u had never heard of big l before he died and only mention him cuz of dudes like me who were actually driving around knocking his shit since 95. now i have no problem with anyone's opinion i just think that u should be able to back it up. u made the categories by which we are judging here. do u know what flow is? do u know what delivery is? do u even know the difference between songs and albums?

L is in my top 5 not cause hes dead because I actually listen to his music.. I own both his albums and played em from start to finish I enjoy his music and he's one of my favorites..

Idk where u came from but I been listing those categories in these threads and of course I know the difference between flow and delivery and songs and albums...if I didnt I wouldnt list em

his music is dope and his lyrics are dope

he has some songs that had had dope subject matter...

When it comes to judging 2Pac's lyricism I'll put it like this: Put Pac, Ra, Nas, Pun, Big in one room and have them spit their best 16. No way on Earth anyone walks away thinking Pac had the better 16. Whether he was a better rapper than cats like David Banner or some shit isn't relevant. We don't put a dude like Banner in GOAT conversations, so you have to compare him to the upper echelon of MCs...especially if you believe he's the GOAT.

2Pac did was he does very well (like Common) but I've never heard a 2pac verse that got me hype or made me think "That nigga dope as fuck". Jay has those bars, Nas has those bars, Kane has those bars, its not a knock on 2pac because he still put together great albums. The nigga aint perfect B.

So lyricism has been reduced to spitting 16s? Rofl....ight, might as well put chino l and cannibus in that one room too.

Bar for bar jay is easily better than Pac. I think PAC touched on a lot more however. People can't seem to separate the controversy from the rapper. Prior to the controversy PAC wasn't getting mentioned with the goat and he was 4 albums deep
