Hmmm. Good point to compare those two. I will give the entire depth of what it is to be a producer to Dre, but when it is solely based on a music beat level or even producing one's self then Kanye wins it. I'm giving it to Dre because something does have to be given to longevity and relevance. Dre also molds artists the masses have not heard of and then introduces them to the world and makes that person like an instant success for years in the rap game. That's the essence of a producer. He's producing an entire person and influencing the entire genre for over 20 years (He ain't produce Ice Cube fully but in the beginning those beats were Dre, then Snoop, NWA, EMinem along with beats for 50, Kendrick). That and the beats headphones, and his record company puts him above Kanye. Dre is

Tupac wasn't aware that he was being financially punked until his last month on Death Row, and once he found out, he fired his DR appointed lawyer and took legal action to get his money right. He died before it's completion. All Eyes on Me was only out for 7 months up until he died, and if you know how royalties work you would know that he wasn't set to receive them until 97. Pac was the only artist on DR that was proactive about about getting his due, he nipped it in the bud fast....Snoop and them were getting jerked for like 5 years and were well aware of it. And Pac never said he cried like a baby after getting shot, you're misquoting that article. By ALL accounts, Pac was angry after getting shot (he even flicked off the camera while being carried out on the gurney) and his pops said he was joking around in the hospital.

It's said that Pac never liked Dre, even on the set of the California Love video, he was telling people how he never like Dre, according to Nancy Fletcher, so I'm sure Pac was biased but I believe his statements about Dre's work ethic because I've been hearing similar stories for the past 20 years from different artist.
