Correct me if, I am wrong. I understand that there is a rise in the Muslim community there. The Muslims there are gaining more social, economic and political power. Could these types of articles be because, of the change?
I have been told that crime has always been rampant in the not so well off areas and the Muslim presence has helped to curb the crime and violence.
these folks have links to those extremist organizations for quite some years now. i remember this shit vividly back in 1990, when they attack parliament, failed attempt. over the coming years, its pretty obvious members from all walks of the trinbago community, especially black muslims, join his organization. most get disguise under the term " Community Leader". Social media and internet accesses made it easier for them to travel overseas and join those extremist forces.
There are poor ppl of all race there, but due to natural resources (Oil, Gas, Liquified Natural Gas, Pitch Lake), several skills occupations are always available. My family back home are employed in the oil industry.
Drugs from south america (venezuala, columbia) also comes to the country shores.

So, you don't view what Abu Bakr did as a response to marginalization, corrupt govt. and the racial divide that existed and exists in the country?
2 wrongs don't make a right. His intent during that coup is being felt today, hence his ppl joining Isis an causing terror all over the world.
So, you're suggesting do nothing? And his "people" joining ISIS is not a fact.
Have you ever even set foot in Trinidad ? You don't know wtf is going on there on a day to day basis.
