man unicron shouls just be the main villian

this trilogy had the potential to go the star wars route but they failed with revenge of the fallen

"Star Wars" Route?, No. Nothing is more EPIC than "Star Wars". But I think history will judge "Fallen" more kindly. I think "Transfomers" will be a Classic Trilogy in the future. Nobody, I mean NOBODY thought they could pull off a "Transfomers" movie let alone 2 of them. "Fallen" wasn't perfect yet it still had an Epic fell to it. Hopefully he learned from his mistakes and "Dark of Moon" is more Serious.

I think "Fallen" had it's dark moments but he tried to be too funny and cheesy in certain parts. The Battles and Effects were still ILL. But I think people overanalyze the films. I don't go to a "Transfomers" movie for a plot or even story. I view these movies like i did as a child of 80's watching the cartoon. They are just really long episodes. What I'm most impressed about is the actual "Transforming" cause I could of never imagined it would look that ILL. I'm a very please with the series thus far. But don't get it twisted:

Transfomers: 1980's Cartoon Movie >>>> Ever Live Action Movie, including "Dark of Moon"

I don't have to see it to know the 80's cartoon was the best movie in the Transfomers series. But the films are not bad at all. "Dark of Moon" looks to be really Dark. Also believe it or not back in the 80's, "Empire Strikes Back" got mixed reviews for being too "Dark", lol.

Meagan Fox was a fool and hurt her career by dissing Michael Bay after "Fallen" Dropped. Don't get it twisted, she's fine as F*ck and I wouldn't mind seeing her run in slow motion one more time, lol. But you don't bite the hand that feeds you and Michael Bay had to teach her lesson. Everyone is damn near replaceable in hollywood, espeically when you are nothing more than "Eye Candy". What's funny she was on the set right as the film started but they fired her before the shoots began. Bay had enough, I mean she called him "Hitler".

They need to hire a new director for these movies. Someone who has the balls to pull this scene off in the theaters:

Honestly the whole girl/boy romantic story shit needs to be taken out of these Transformers movies along with 90% of the human shit that doesn't belong in these films in the first place. It just boggles the mind how the actresses of these films get more press than the actual fucking Transformers.

I hate Transformers movies but I love Transformers cartoon.

Believe it or not Bay is perfect for a movie like "Transfomers". If not him, it needed to be Spielburg or Lucas, ironically Steven is the Excutive Producer and Lucas's team did the effects. Say what you want about Michael Bay, you can't name 3 Director currently who make better "Action-Pack" films than he does. And "Transfomers" needs an action minded director. The Love Story is overblown in every blockbuster. Even last year's "Avatar". It's just an attempt to appeal to the female audience. The human element is needed also cause there was a human element in the cartoon. If Bay is done with the series, I think Speilberg or Lucas should take over the director chair for the next trilogy. Cause people are out of their minds if they think this thing ends at 3 movies. Look at the Box Office for the 1st two:

Total Lifetime Grosses: Transfomers

Domestic: $319,246,193 45.0%

+ Foreign: $390,463,587 55.0%

= Worldwide: $709,709,780

Total Lifetime Grosses: Transfomers - Revenge of the Fallen

Domestic: $402,111,870 48.1%

+ Foreign: $434,185,358 51.9%

= Worldwide: $836,297,228

That's 1.5 Billon off two movies. That's not counting the millions of DVD's and Blu-rays both movies have sold. And dispite the mixed to bad reviews "Fallen" got, it keep people going back to the theater to watch it again. It increased over the original film which means more people went out to watch it. I think "Dark of Moon" will be even bigger than the 1st two, especially since it's in 3D. I think there will be another Trilogy after this one. "Transfomers" is a BRAND and after these movies, they are more popular now than they've ever been. Bay can leave the series if he wants but the movies will continue. If Unicron isn't in this one, he needs to be in one of the future movies eventually. He was just one badass Decepticon.

I thought Unicron was neither Autobot or Decepticon...

Your right he wasn't officially one but we all know who he aligned himself with. I mean he turned Megatron to Galvatron and gave a lot of the decepticons Upgrade. Unicorn was afraid of the "Matrix" period and since the Autobots had it, he was a decepticon by default.

1st & foremost, the cartoon version is the goat! plain & simple.

2nd, might biggest gripe wit the series so far has been slowing down the fighting scenes b/t the bots. especially pt.2. also sum kinda intro wit the new autobots & decepticons. mofos just popped up, and u don't have the slightest clue as to who they are.

3rd, take out the mofo human element of the movie. the freakin movie is called TRANSFORMERS!!!! not HUMANS feat transformers! mutha**** sam and whoeva he falls for.

Unicron is neither Decepticon or Autobot

20 years ago, I remember reading his origin in the UK version of the transformers comic that continued the storylines from the movie and was not associated with the US version. IMO, it was better than the US version, because it used Springer, Arcie, Ultra Magnus, Kup, Wheelie, and Soundwave was the Decepticon commander after everything fell apart, and a lot of the surviving Transformers from the movie.

Unicron was a fallen god from before the universe existed, who sought the ultimate peace that would be granted by the destruction of all life. Unicron once accomplished this task, wiping out all life, planets, stars and nebulae, even "the stuff of space itself" in the universe and leaving only nothingness and void. When there was nothing left, Unicron entered a deep sleep - but he had not been thorough enough. Tiny fragments of the old universe reacted with each other, and a new universe was born. As Unicron slept, the core of this new universe - somehow a sentient being - became aware of Unicron's threat and created a defender to battle his evil - Primus, the lord of light. Unicron awoke to find himself surrounded by another universe, and simply began to destroy it again.

He and Primus clashed many times, the force of their battles wiping out the very life Primus had been created to protect. To stop this physical destruction, Primus shifted the battle to the astral plane, where he fared little better, forcing himself into what seemed to be a sacrifice play - in shifting the battle back to the physical universe without time to properly generate their energy forms, Primus entrapped both himself and Unicron in two barren asteroids. But this was not the end of Unicron - over the eons, he learned to psionically shape his asteroid, and transformed it into a metallic planet, and then again into a gargantuan robot. Primus, fearing that to follow suit by forming himself in a similar manner would simply pick up the conflict where it had left off, sought an alternative way to defend the universe against the threat of Unicron by turning his asteroid into Cybertron; a planet that he populated with robotic beings that, like Unicron, could alter their forms. And thus were born the Transformers.

The Matrix is really the spark of Primus and all Transformers leaders lost in battle in protecting the planet. That's why Unicron wanted to destroy Cybertron and stated that the Matrix was the only thing that could stand in his way. He really wanted to take out his old nemesis, Primus, but had to deal with Primus' children.
