Pretty much this started because a famous YouTube personality made antisemitic comments about Jewish people. The Jews rallied together to shut shit down. This then led to advertisers being worried about their ads being shown before crazy videos like anti gay, racists, antisemitic etc type videos, so YouTube stopped advertisements. Only certain accounts have since been monetized again while everybody else is waiting for YouTube to fix this issue.
