These events are cheaper to produce, they can throw several of them a year and have a steady content stream, while introducing new battlers to URL stage that dont demand 15k and up to battle. You dont understand business if you think thats bad business sense.

Word and some of these battlers are doing it for free. As much as I don't care about 95% of these matchups it makes sense for them on many levels.
