There's a right way to discipline, and a wrong way....just my opinion, but dad went overboard. I don't condone bad behavior, nor is mediocre behavior rewarded in my household. However, when discipline in needed, you have to separate your emotions from your logic. Dad was working off of pure emotion here. I have an 11 year old son, and I know all too well how mannish, and playful little boys can be...do I have to get him from time to time? Sure...however, while disciplining him, I'm not going to cause him any long term harm. Dude in this video just damaged his son...what was the point of shaving his head? Beating him on Monday surely didn't work, so hitting him harder this time around is?
