Anyone else worried about how this is going to affect Views from the 6? Drake probably had to scrap half the album now after this. We may have lost some dope joints to Meek Mill's sensitivity.

I've spent maybe 30 min in the studio with @bcotton5. Nice enough guy, very talented, but if you're asking if he contributed to my post, well the answer is yes. But no one is as talented as me. I understand post writing at a higher level. I go beyond the normal posting boundaries that other posters want to sleep themselves stuck in.

There are levels to appropriation. What we heard in that sample track that Flex dropped was an entire verse, flow, bars and all, laced and prepared for Drake. The nigga Q or w.e. may even have done the beat selection. Saying everyone does it is a straw man argument / blanket accusation; your making false equivalencies with no supporting evidence and given the culture, it is highly unlikely save for minimal shit like hooks and a line here or there. We know the specific artists who use ghostwriters. None of those niggas are considered top 10 at this point, save for Kanye who is constantly being debated and recently falling off.

Authenticity in storytelling ,style and rhyme is what sets our music genre and culture apart from other white dominated artform if ghostwriting becomes the norm what would stop a Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Mylie Cyrus, Justin Beiber etc from paying accomplished artists to pen a crossover hiphop type album and them being crowned the Hiphop stars of today and tomorrow .

Is this not the culture vulture and white appropriation we have been talking about for the past 3 years i.e Iggy Azalea, Macklemore, G Eazy.

I aint sayin niggaz dont have ghostwriters (Snoop, diddy, will smith, Dr Dre) My point is making it like shit should be cool and people should he indifferent, means that there are no rules to this and that can be dangerous especially to the most important aspect of the craft. You cant have someone who is arguably considered the best is the game (not just you average rapper) but the best in the game today being a fraud. It opens more flood gates to us tolerating more bullshit and just diluting the culture which already only has one leg to stand on.

Ok so the issue niggas think Drake is the best or people consider him as the best, and want to use this against him, despite the fact we don't know exactly how much help or how littke help he gets and which songs. On top of that some of his best tracks like 40 said are way too personal fir someoe to have written those but people want to get mad that an inferior rapper laced a verse for "10 bands".
