Look at most of the rich, who makes them rich? We do. We spend our money for their products to make them rich, why don't we help the poorer countries? Why do we need the things we don't actually need?

The only one who doesn't help is our govt, but they can't help themselves, so how can they help others?

Most part of becoming rich are in a person way of thinking....taking risks....is it fair that a person who works hard and take risks to reach their goal have to allocate their earnings to someone that is conservative and would rather wait on hand-outs or play it safe or hope to some day hit the power ball.

I'm pretty sure those billionaires lost alot of money before they became billionaires...I mean giving back is good..but to bring up facts/statements and count what's in my pockets and what I can or should do with "my" money is too much IMO

Most of these people do contribute to charities (that they run...like Bill Gates etc).

I hate how people act like because somebody has billions of dollars and they aren't giving away 90% of it that they are selfish.

Most of these "selfish" billionaires still give away more money PERCENTAGE wise than the average person. Hell you can't even get people to donate time let alone their own money.

Charity doesn't solve poverty or provide a higher living wage for people to make a living off of.

Doo-gooder millionaries who make poverty their pet project are basically a replacement for government political/economic policy.
