Illmatic is definitley a universally accepted classic very much critically acclaimed

But aside from Illmatic & It Was Written, Nas has no other classics

And overall has a very suspect catalouge with aweful and universally considered wack by the masses Album's like -

Nastradamus (considered probably the worst Album of all time)

I Am

Streets Disciple

Hip-Hop Is Dead

Average Album's like -

God's Son

Untitled

You look at Eminem's catalouge outta 5 major released solo Album's

He has released what is considered one of the greatest Album's of all time with The Marshall Mathers LP as well as 2 other universally accepted and critically acclaimed classics with THe Slim Shady LP & The Eminem Show

So that's 5 solo Album's released and 3 are very highly critically acclaimed classics with one being considered one of the greatest Album's ever made

That is impressive

Nas catalouge based on universal thought by the masses and the media with in Hip-Hop

Classic Album's = Illmatic being universally accepted and It was Written being a near classic at the very least

Poor and wack Album's = Nastradamus, I Am, Streets Disciple and Hip-Hop Is Dead

Average Album's = God's Son and Untitled

Good Album's = Stillmatic

You are from where you grew up and 2pac grew up in Cali just as much as New York

Hip hop is the only genre of music where the artists rep where they're from. You don't hear too many rock bands or country artists shouting out their hometowns or their regions in all their records. Besides, hip hop fans are the only ones who care where an artist is from.

I gotta repeat myself for the dumb people

One of the reasons i appreciate Eminem so much is he will make a Song with the deepest topic i can relate to which is parenting, he will also say the deep content about his daughter for example in the most Lyrical way and at the same make the Hook Melodic and catchy

So heres the break down

A = Deepest content is covered by Eminem like parenting, poverty, political opression, drug addiction, family

B = He say's all these deep, emotional topics in the most Lyrical way using Multi's and painting pictures in listeners head's with story telling

C = He Sing's his Hook's really good and uses a lotta Melody in his Music

So in a nutshell no one has his balance

Eminem is like 2pac he'll cover the most deepest topics that relate to millions of people but unlike 2pac Eminem will make a Song dedicated to his daughter or about escaping poverty but say it using Multi's

So he has the deep topics he actually say's something deep majority of his Song's wise but Lyrically with story telling too

SMH.................ok,you're right,Happy now???

its best to say that i agree to dissagree .. but i gotta question..

Are you saying Nas is not great enough to be recongized as a top 5 or 10?

I understand what your trying to get across to us .. but it sounds like you have something against God's Son ..

But i know he has weaknesses as a fan i can admit them

This thread was made by a white person that's from some suburb in UK that has undying love for the great white hype which is Eminem. The threadstarters love affair with Em has Nas with no songs that connect to people in the struggle or average/everyday people when that's what most of Nas content is about. Listen ShadyTeam...Your obsessed with Eminem to the point where you make threads about other rappers with a "Marshall Mathers" undertone to them. I seriously think you need help. No one else loves eminem the way you do. Just face facts and stop making these dumb ass threads. Nas is more respected in the Hip Hop community than Eminem. Your undying love isn't changing that.
